lol you got Astros. they are over priced as fuck just to have the name astro on them. my wired Trittons have Dolby surround sound 5.1 and were a 100 bucks. they lasted 2 years and are still working fine. their customer service will replace anything, even if it out of warranty. I heard Astros are so flimsy that they break constantly.
I think you got Astro mixed up with Skullcandy.
I think you got Astro mixed up with Skullcandy.
the reason astros are 200$ is because only pro~ mlg players use them. Hell they are licensed by MLG. its an elitism that gives them their price, kinda like having a fancy car. There are more affordable alternatives, but Astros. most of my friends who got a pair of Astro headsets end of regretting them because they break often and the actual speakers blow out way too easily. the only good part of Astros is that you can manually adjust the levels of bass tremble and such.
Tremble.
Over priced you say? I payed 200 bucs for an audio solution that plugs into any and all devices I use, I can split the audio between my PC and Xbox at the same time, Dolby Digital 5.1 and 7.1 SS. And has lasted me 5 years without any issue. You heard Astros are flimsy and break constantly? that was never the case in the 3 Astro products I own. Next time do research before you go be "what you hear." There was never an item I purchased for Astro for myself or friends that was flimsy and breaks constantly. What you call over priced, I call saved me alot of money in the long run, and a damn good series of headsets. I use the A30's for travel, the A40's for computer, and the a50's in the living room. I invest in their products because they are damn good for gaming, and I find them more comfortable than the Tritton 720+ and the Earforce series headsets, which I do own.
why do you need to listen to the TV and a game at the same time exactly? and you can buy the ear cups that astros have for most tritton headsets for like 5-10$. the only reasons you gave why they are better is because you can split the audio for two devices (which is dumb and really pointless unless for very VERY few circumstances) and that they are more comfortable (which can be same said for most headsets for a cheap 10-20$ part).

All because it's MLG endorsed it's an product like that has fallen to elitism? What? There is a reason MLG endorsed Astro Gaming headsets. What headset do you mostly see at all the major game cons at the thousands of demo booths? Astro headsets. How do you break an Astro headset if every piece of the damn thing is replaceable. It's not easy to blow out those speakers, they're frequency response has a max range of 28,000 Hz. You can crank the volume all the way up and blast it for months continuously without risks of blowing out a speaker, no promises with your ear drum though.

They both advertise the car, but what makes the car look better?
why do you need to listen to the TV and a game at the same time exactly?
To listen to music, or communicate with friends I am gaming with on lets say teamspeak for example.
you can buy the ear cups that astros have for most tritton headsets for like 5-10$.
I am well aware of that, I already have them, but overall I still prefer any Astro product I own better.
the only reasons you gave why they are better is because you can split the audio for two devices (which is dumb and really pointless unless for very VERY few circumstances)
Says you, my gaming preferences and your gaming preferences obviously vary. What you find dumb I find very useful. All my Astro products have an SPL of 118 db @1kHz, frequency responce of 20Hz - 20,000 KHz wireless 35-20,000 Hx. My Tritton 720+ have a SPL of 92db, and a 25Hz frequency response. Besides all that price has no affect on my choices, as I give all products a fair chance and purchase the ones that are good, I am a sound geek, many headsets have their uses. I just find the Astro products I invest in to be the best that suit my gaming preferences. Anyway we strayed off topic, back on topic.
I use Turtle Beaches.
Ah I remember the times when I played Halo Reach all day with my school friends during the summer. It's a shame my brother hogs the Xbox all the time, I'd really like to play this with them.
