Something about Big Boss running around the desert with D-Dog while listening to 80's tunes just feels so right. I feel very assured that this game is gonna be a blast to play.
Yeah,I absolutely love the music selection for the idroid. Im a huge fan of 70s and 80s music, and it brought a huge smile to my face and seeing Big Boss and D-dog running across the desert while Maneater played, or seeing an support helicopter rain down fire while blasting Only Time Will Tell.
I don't know how you can watch this and not see the game of the year
It's sad to know that Fallout 4 will win GOTY when you have this beauty.
tbh who even cares, goty is such a hollow title nowadays
And how many different GOTY awards are there? There's so many, it's bound to get one from someone anyways.
I know it was demonstration purposes but when I saw the little white bar letting you know an enemy can see you while he just looks the complete opposite way I was screaming "PAY ATTENTION".

brain damage is the cause for forgetting

I'd say the huge piece of shrapnel in his skull and the 10 year coma might have something to do with it. Just a thought.

snake and probably a few other MSF soldiers speak russian, all of which are occupied doing other things, but they don't have a dedicated translator. makes sense to get a translator that also knows something about the enemy too [editline]18th June 2015[/editline] wait nvm i got to the part of the video where snake forgot to speak russian. that's lame
Snake's been in a coma for nine years and has a giant piece of shrapnel firmly lodged in his right brain hemisphere I think we can all give him some slack as to what he can remember when it comes to a complex foreign language. [sp]Also big Boss likely has suffered heavy damage to the corpus callosum and his right hemisphere now works independently from his left due to the horn[/sp]
i'm fine with the retcon given that it's easily explained by brain damage and that it's just all around a cool mechanic to have to get an interpreter first iirc didn't they mention something about for the multiplayer component that other players wouldn't be able to understand soldiers on your base unless they had the corresponding interpreter? from that i assumed that there will be multiple languages spoken in the conflict zone which will be cool, and given that the most recent trailer heavily tackles the subject of language as a means of morphing people it just all fits together thematically

Easily Game of the Year.
Easily Game of the Year.
Its gonna have some competition with Fallout 4.
I thought the horn was just a representation of his mental state and isn't actually a physical thing
If you play GZ you would know that the shrapnel is very much a real thing but it changes in MGS5 frequently. In one of the trailers when he's looking at the mirror the shrapnel is so large it's basically a devil horn (around like 5 inches long easily).
I haven't played an MGS game since Sons of Liberty on the PS2, so I am 100% lost when it comes to the story, but just from looks alone MGS5 seems quite nice.
I haven't played an MGS game since Sons of Liberty on the PS2, so I am 100% lost when it comes to the story, but just from looks alone MGS5 seems quite nice.
even if you give the games a once over it's still hard to grasp the story. i would reccomend emulation and play a few of the games (in timeline order (or not!!)) and read up the story details afterwards before going on to play GZ and TPP
Its gonna have some competition with Fallout 4.
Nah sorry Fallout 4 will be great but it isn't gonna touch this quality wise.
FO4 won't come close to the levels of polish TPP will have. and it won't be anywhere near as unique. [editline]18th June 2015[/editline] Fallout 4, being an open-end RPG, pretty much reliably won't have a story that comes close to the depth of anything in TPP. it won't be as well written, there will be less polish on NPCs the environments. Mostly because they're different games for different experiences. with fallout and TES you fill in a lot of the detail, compared to the MGS series which is historically very feature-filled and detailed
I thought the horn was just a representation of his mental state and isn't actually a physical thing
The shrapnel will probably be a real thing. It's growth most likely not.
Nah sorry Fallout 4 will be great but it isn't gonna touch this quality wise.
Of course, the amount of love put into this cant really be matched.
Nah sorry Fallout 4 will be great but it isn't gonna touch this quality wise.
It's got a massive following though and a lot of GOTY awards are just popularity contests.
I can't wait to roll around in the D-Walker blasting this:
It's got a massive following though and a lot of GOTY awards are just popularity contests.
popularity wise Fallout will win more people over no doubt, it's a bethesda game, it's as mainstream as a CoD or Halo quality wise MGSV will be Kojima's magnum opus and a one of a kind defining game
popularity wise Fallout will win more people over no doubt, it's a bethesda game, it's as mainstream as a CoD or Halo quality wise MGSV will be Kojima's magnum opus and a one of a kind defining game
i kinda like it that way to be honest....i feel if MGS went tooo mainstream the quality of the games would majorly suffer......i'm happy to get a not as popular game now and again that is actually worth every minute of playing.
i played them in release order, i just thought that was how you should play it now idk
i delayed buying/playing GZ until the past few days bcus i just lost interest in MGS for a while until it went on sale and damn i am excited for V. even more than i already was [editline]18th June 2015[/editline]
always play in release order, timeline order fucks things up and you wont get any references to past games as well
right, i've never played the series more than once, last time i played MGS properly was 4 on release month and i kinda tend to forget a lot of story detail in movies n games i don't have time to go play them again before release sadly but i'm gonna try and at least refresh myself on the story intricates because i really want to enjoy this game in it's entirety
i delayed buying/playing GZ until the past few days bcus i just lost interest in MGS for a while until it went on sale and damn i am excited for V. even more than i already was
gz was my first entry into mgs and it just left me wanting for more
Maybe I will get this.
