can't wait to download new dog models
Because they can't do it. They couldn't bother to chose a not 10 year old "in house modified" engine, couldn't be bothered to fix the animations, to update the grapics, and it looks like the BoS are going to be "the good guys" again.
Basically it's FO3 all over again.
It's gonna be shit and you know it.
Unless you REALLY like Fo3.
Really excited here, don't care about dem graphics one bit

That's a hefty assumption there.
I love that the colors seem more vibrant and bright in some areas when compared to other Fallout releases. This game looks like it's going to be beautiful
you don't pay troy baker however much money he costs just for one line at the end of a trailer.
i'm interested in this game, but not hyped. after skyrim i'm going to be extremely wary on any other games they make. the trailer looks good but we haven't seen
-if/how they fuck up the writing
-the amount of bugs there will no doubt be
-the oversimplification of RPG mechanics
[editline]awfouh[/editline]
yes please give me a game by the people who know what they're doing
Honestly folks, they're probably aware of all the problems with skyrim and fallout, and they've more than likely learned from their past releases.
Yeah, if it's one thing about Bethesda, Skyrim and Fallout 3 are both games with a straightforward cinematic story. Be the hero, save the world. You're either the predestined chosen one or the child whose father is trying to save the world. Both games all have the samey things in most of their plots: One or the other? There is no middle ground.
For Obsidian, their games have always taken a different approach to the cinematic style of storytelling while also trying not to sacrifice gameplay. Their only problem is that they want to incorporate all of these powerful storytelling under a specific amount of crunch time, so they usually end up cutting a lot of needed stuff out (see: Alpha Protocol, KOTOR 2, and New Vegas).
Fallout 4 is probably going to continue with the same cinematic tradition where you're the unlucky parent caught up in a world gone mad.
They literally had dev time almost halved on New Vegas just imagine what could've been.
Honestly folks, they're probably aware of all the problems with skyrim and fallout, and they've more than likely learned from their past releases.
the past few games that've all been their biggest releases yet? maybe i'm a pessimist but i doubt it
Honestly folks, they're probably aware of all the problems with skyrim and fallout, and they've more than likely learned from their past releases.
Did they learn from the problems in Morrowind? Did they learn their problems with Oblivion? No they didn't. Bethesda couldn't make a polished game if their life depended on it.
I hope they push their shit together for Fo4, but I just don't see that happening.

Any evidence to support this claim?

First of all, why would they change from an engine they've been working on for years and years?
Secondly, we have seen absolutely zero gameplay so far. Stop making assumptions based on by-now 4 year old technology (5 years if we don't count Skyrim).
Thirdly, graphics aren't an issue as long as the gameplay is good. If you're so desperate for good graphics in a Bethesda game, get an ENB. There's plenty of presets to choose from that look stunning. Also are you blind? Because I see plenty of graphical upgrades in this compared to Skyrim/NV. Not next-gen level, but like I said, it doesn't matter. Who honestly cares?
Fourthly, are you completely oblivious to the BoS role in the Fallout lore overall?
Fifthly, just like with my second point, we have seen no gameplay. You don't know what the in-game animations will be like, and this trailer had nothing inherently bad to it in the animation department besides some lack of splining on the dog. Everything else was alright.
So can you stop whining now? Good.
First of all, why would they change from an engine they've been working on for years and years?
because it's been showing its age for years and years?
Graphics are overrated, studios blow their entire budget and effort on it and the game is just total ass, especially recent ones.

The technology is 12 years old, not 5. Only the graphics renderers were rewritten ( along with the script language) for creation engine. Stuff handling AI and NPC interaction is still what you find in Morrowind.
I really hope they don't do something like radiant quests for this game.
I'll reserve judgements until I see actual gameplay.
A little bit more thoughts on the trailer.
I like amazing graphics but it's not a seller for me. I think the game looks a bit dated. Luckily the environments seem to have a lot of soul to them and I'm glad they aren't afraid to use some color. Not sure how I feel about the return of the skin tight jumpsuit.
I need to know how it will play, the shooting mechanics in previous games felt clunky and I hope they go for something more comfortable.
Lastly, I hope they will try to make the game stable and bug free as much as possible.
Graphics are overrated, studios blow their entire budget and effort on it and the game is just total ass, especially recent ones.
I'd rather have good art direction over good graphics.
People on reddit are saying the trailer might be trying to tell us that we will be able to play as characters who lived before the vaults were opened, I'm predicting that it will be flashbacks like that mission in Fallout 3 where you follow your dad into the crazy dream place. God that would be awesome
What engine they use isn't about the graphics, it's about bugs and 32bit and physics glitches and save bloat and NPC limits.

Mods will fix that
So hype for the game and mods!
I got no problem with the graphic honestly.
I prefer it to be like that originally so than even if you have a low system you could play at ease.
And we all know that Bethesda games get mod a lot so a month after release, there will be already a bunch of texture mod & Enb for it.
Mods will fix that
This is such a stupid mindset, companies shouldn't have to rely on mods to find hacky ways to get around 12 year old limitations.
I'm expecting paid mods to make a return. I hope I'm wrong.
Humans still move like robots I see.
Mods will fix that
"It's okay for Bethesda to release a broken game because mods will fix it!"
No. Modders shouldn't be doing Bethesda's job.
Fourthly, are you completely oblivious to the BoS role in the Fallout lore overall?
BoS as it was in Fallout 1 and 2 weren't the Dudley Do-Good patrol force they were in Fallout 3. They were xenophobic technology hoarders who, for a moment, stepped out of their bunkers to help the wasteland defeat the mutants, though only because the mutants were a threat to their existence
"It's okay for Bethesda to release a broken game because mods will fix it!"

Especially since they will probably jump on the paid mod train with this title.
I know a lot of people are saying the gameplay wont be bad because of people pointing out the graphics bbbuuuutttt I'm pretty sure most of that was gameplay or in game expect for the very end when it was showing him wearing the Vault 111 jumpsuit. And my point here it looks exactly like Fallout3 and NV the way the characters move, the way it looks graphic wise like that dog in the beginning. Looks exactly like the dog models in New Vegas and my question is why? They have been working on this for so long why does it look like they made this in about a year? If that year was the year after New Vegas came out.
I am very excited for this, but I am worried it will be the Skyrim of Fallout.
