tacked on multiplayer sucks and adding coop just because "YOU CAN LET YOUR FRIENDS IN ASWELL" breaks immersion completely most of the times.
That's what I'm saying though, the engine limits them horribly. If they had co-op in mind, it would've been really cool. "Muh immersion", who cares if 90% of us are going to mod anyway
Dude, if there are games that should had changed engines a long time ago, its Fallout and TES. The fact that playing the first made me depressed with all the lack of colors is enough of a reason to do so. [editline]3rd June 2015[/editline] Maybe because every game has coop when it didn't really need coop? [editline]3rd June 2015[/editline] tacked on multiplayer sucks and adding coop just because "YOU CAN LET YOUR FRIENDS IN ASWELL" breaks immersion completely most of the times.
are you saying you actually got legitimately depressed because of the color in fallout 3?
"Muh immersion", who cares if 90% of us are going to mod anyway
immersion is an actual thing tho (and what makes good RPGs great) and a shitload of mods are made to increase immersion anyway?

"Muh immersion", who cares if 90% of us are going to mod anyway
I'd rather they focused on the game than tacking multiplayer in places it doesn't fit they would just be spending funding for something pretty unfitting
can't wait to install lore friendly mods such as "mario follower" and "sexy female bods" to increase my immersion
I dont even give a shit im going to pre-order this. The fallout seires are probably my all time favorite game(s) aside from Garrys Mod. Even if they fuck it up somehow.
are you saying you actually got legitimately depressed because of the color in fallout 3?
Not depressed as in actual depression, but it always gave me this feeling of sadness. It was all so... Desolate. MW3 did the same, except it also gave me feelings of it being shit.
Am I the only one who gives a shit about all the new vehicles they just threw at us? Stationwagons, new sports cars, fucking flying ships.
That's what I'm saying though, the engine limits them horribly. If they had co-op in mind, it would've been really cool. "Muh immersion", who cares if 90% of us are going to mod anyway
Just because 90% of people will mod it, doesn't means it shouldn't be immersive, since it's most likely what anyone is trying to go for when they make a game. And who's to say just because it was modded that it broke all immersion? Saying "muh immersion" reminds me of the people who went "oh a game doesn't needs gameplay" when that Tim Schafer game was released and it "played" like an interactive story. I never mod any game. Neither F3 nor Skyrim. I like them vanilla, and I like to get into the feel of the game, which F3 actually did really well. If they had coop, it would have been almost like every other open world coop game out there, give or take a few differences. I honestly think we're saturated with coop games. "Muh immersion", who cares if 90% of us are going to mod anyway
It doesn't limit anything, particularly when things can be rewritten. Animation in Bethbryo is horrible because they use 2 key-> interpolation anims in 3ds max, which is incredibly lazy. There's nothing preventing better animation at all, that's literally an artistic/logistical choice, as we see from japanese games using 3dsm that are miles ahead in terms of quality and technical excellence. Scripting is horrible because they refuse to upgrade the way Papyrus handles threading, a single change there and nowhere else would completely change the way the game plays and how well aftermarket content would work with it. Properly threaded script resolves would literally be a game changer into what kind of content you could make for the game, especially in terms of enemies and AI handling. The engine is just that, an engine; it's a platform for work. What work is done on it is in the hands of the people making that content.
This thread is full of: STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU LIKE IS SHIT I DON'T LIKE 1 THING SO ALL THINGS AFTER ARE SHIT. God damn, grow up you fucking babies.
This thread reads like one in nma holy shit
im excited but at the same time im going to hold my breath i dont want to get too hype about it because you never know with bethesda
It's 2015, almost every AAA title has some form of multiplayer
I'll just go play the witcher 3 with co-op oh wait
Seriously? Coop? Why? That's the single most overused feature ever nowadays, why put coop in this? Even a zombie mode would be better, and those are fucking boring.
You clearly haven't played Fallout.
The Dog needs to be a permanent companion. German Shepard too. Good choice.
You clearly haven't played Fallout.
24 hours on steam, not counting the hours spent on the DVD version.
24 hours on steam, not counting the hours spent on the DVD version.
Then no friends. Is it so hard to get that people want coop in fallout and elder scrolls?
There would be no need at all for multiplayer in Fallout is what I'm saying.
Then no friends. Is it so hard to get that people want coop in fallout and elder scrolls?
I mean, I would love to have it, but it's not going to keep me from enjoying singleplayer? I don't see why coop would be a dealbreaker all of a sudden.
Then no friends. Is it so hard to get that people want coop in fallout and elder scrolls?
What does that have to do with it? I could have 100 friends who play it, and I still would prefer it singleplayer. Coop takes the fun out of everything imo, unless its a game clearly designed to be a multiplayer game. This goes for any game that doesn't has a big story around it. Having 2 players just feels like it ruins the experience of the story. But then again, its just my opinion.
I'd love to have coop for those 100 hours after the story's done and you're running around and doing sidequests.
I just want drivable cars. Real Mad Max shit. Before anyone says that cars would be out of place, Fallout 2 had a car.
I'm hoping that the guys in Power Armor aren't going to be BoS or anything. They already painted them as holy white knights from the heavens in Fallout 3, which was far too good of a depiction for what they were intended to be. It was incredibly shallow. It's Bethesda so I'm not going to expect something that isn't incredibly shallow, but I really liked that trailer. Hope that the PC isn't voiced fully though, it'd be so shitty going from the variety in dialogue offered in previous games to essentially the dialogue wheel as far as dialogue options go.
I just want drivable cars. Real Mad Max shit. Before anyone says that cars would be out of place, Fallout 2 had a car.
So you want RAGE, but a well done RAGE :v:
Why the fuck are people arguing whether it's going to be shit or not. Just appreciate the fact that Bethesda knows that we have wanted Fallout 4 for a while and now they're delivering like goddamn
Why the fuck are people arguing whether it's going to be shit or not. Just appreciate the fact that Bethesda knows that we have wanted Fallout 4 for a while and now they're delivering like goddamn
it's their second biggest series they were going to release a new one sooner or later
it's their second biggest series they were going to release a new one sooner or later
Yeah they wouldn't of spent so much on getting the IP only to make one game then hire another developer to make one game.
Will pre-order this, in collector's edition form if available, and I will love it unconditionally like I have every other Bethesda game since Morrowind and nothing anybody says will change my mind. Bethesda makes fucking great games that admittedly also have plenty of room for improvement, but just because something can improve doesn't mean that it's bad as is.
Graphics looks fine for me TBH. Time to wait to see what the story and gameplay will be like.
