iirc him and psychicpebbles do have work that's done but whoever they're working for isn't ready to release it.
It's just a damn shame Arin gave up art years ago.

I like how he shows Arin in the video, but he gave up animation years ago for his cash cow game grumps
Actually, the game grumps are doing an art based series right now called Doodle Doods. It's pretty neat.
It's not animation, but I think it's a bit silly to imply that he's like some sort of sell-out or something.
The grumps are actually pretty fucking busy. They do their whole main job recording episodes all day for a variety of shows, as well as live videos they've been doing recently, they have their band Starbomb, Danny participates in a sports podcast, Suzy has two channels of her own which Arin participates in, and they regularly go around the country to do live Game Grumps shows. That's also not counting their voice acting work for cartoons, their contributions to other animators, and the acting classes they take.
The Grumps is fuckin' busy, something they've noted in the past, and since animation takes a long ass time and doesn't go well with youtube's algorithms, any animation would be Arin sacrificing his work for animation. He chooses not to, and that's fine. It sucks a bit for us but it's fine. Arin doesn't owe you animations and he never signed a contract saying he's gotta make cartoons his whole life. That said, I doubt we've seen the last cartoon Arin will ever make.

Yeah Oney, Egoraptor, Psychicpebbles, Spazkid etc all haven't put out a genuine animation in over 2 years. Kristian sounds too optimistic at the end, because web animation will stay dead until youtube radically changes their formula or a rival becomes financially viable. Both of which aren't happening anytime soon.

Shit, I hadn't actually noticed there was a pattern with the thumbnails.

Yeah, they have hellbenders. According to Psychicpebbles, long story short, Oney and him have finished their part of Hellbenders, and the rest is just waiting for the slow slow process that is making 'traditional' media happen. In the meantime, Psychicpebbles has been trying to get back in to the swing of things by creating his podcast, Schmucks, to try to counterbalance the watch time thing allowing him to continue to make quality content.
I've always had fun trying to see where old animators have ended up. I watched these edgy Final Fantasy animations from 2005 and the guy got a job working on Rick And Morty.
I didn't even know it happened until I decided to search for some old animations I liked and realized some of them were gone, ended up googling it and found a thread asking what the fuck was up and a mod laying out the copyright reason, there's been no news of this anywhere.
Fortunately swfchan actually seems to have a lot if not all of Newgrounds animations saved, so I did find the removed animations there.
Which ones were they?

It's a shame that there is no real good competitor to YouTube, we need competition in a lot of places and the online video market desperately requires one.

Generally any huge online service needs competitors that doesn't suck, because the current ones all suck hard in one or more ways due to monopoly (or similar) conditions, so they never actually improve, but only ~improve~.

Can someone tell me the name of this? I used to be hooked to it when I was 13 or 14, the animation was mindblowing and they were really happy, cutesy videos with pretty catchy asian music.
Edit: found it - SamBakZa There She Is! video. Damn the nostalgia
I used to spend all my time on Newgrounds, even got genuinely excited for flash events like Madness Day, Pico Day or Clock Day.
Hence our usernames, fellow clock. :~)
As much as I cringe at my username on here sometimes I love looking back to my Newgrounds past because it was just so much fun and the community was great. Newgrounds also started my interest in animation, and interest in using professional software to create, which is how I make a living now.

Oh god that animation brings back memories. Still holds up to this day.
