the thing i don't like about trailers like these is that they reinforce this cultural belief that the military is always the good guys, that it is good to be a soldier, good to be an operator, to have faith in your government and to be confident that you are killing enemies of justice specifically the trailers like this where "normal" everyday people are also "hardcore" COD players and it shows them as if they were the soldiers themselves, running around on the battlefield killing each other (but never actually showing anyone dying, because fuck consequences or anything). there was a pretty well made one for one of the past five superbowls, with the tagline "there's a soldier if all of us," and it showed all types of people geared up and shooting around a destroyed battlefield. it's just weird. it goes beyond the general (nonsense) complaint that violent video games are the cause of violent behavior--the critical notion that debunks that argument is that players can separate real life from fantasy, but when you have commercials like this that blend the real world and COD, it creeps me out because when the hotel workers are shown experiencing it as if it were real life, you're equating the reality of our world and the hotel business with that of the world of a soldie, the military, and hundreds of casual murders, which is glorified to hell and back.
Or it's just an ad about a video game that shows people having fun playing a video game?
the thing i don't like about trailers like these is things
i don't like when people overthink a trailer for a video game
Oh fuck no
Why would they take the time to model that weird grip thing on the M4 when you can clearly see the animations just clip right through it and hold the rails? I'm kind of impressed though, even when they outsource to a different team they still managed to increase the amount of asset reuse.
Wonder how much he was paid to be in this.
Oh cool the hired the guys who did special effects for Sharknado to do the zombies for this!
Americans in foreign ads just does not work.
funfact: the zombies in cod:o are actually androids due to chinese censorship laws
Those androids are pretty awesome, though.

i guess what i was ranting about is the glorification of warfare. a game doesn't need to be a political statement to influence consumers. so when civilians are depicted having fun killing each other in a wartorn hot zone, it weirds me out. that's all
So does this have a campaign too or something? There was a lot of stuff that looked like it was from a singleplayer thing.
it's actually the MW2 campaign from what I've seen
There are amateur youtubers that makes better videos than this.
Can this be played outside China yet?
thank god the skilled white man appeared and saved that bumbling group of not white guys
I'd actually love to see a Call of Duty Online game in the US where it's all the different maps from all the different games with all the different weapons and gamemodes and gameplay styles. It'd be like the ultimate multiplayer/party game. Well.... Not all but just a variety. Like 5 of the best from each game.
I thought these kind of games were made for Korea.
Why does every weird Asian mmo hybrid of well known fps have online tacked onto the back. At least this one didn't blatantly lie about the graphics like the counter strike online one
