Maddox vs Penn & Teller: My take on their bullshit - General

They had an entire episode dedicated to climate change denial, tastefully entitled "Environmental Hysteria," one where they argued that second hand smoke wasn't harmful, and another episode where they had somebody claim that forensic science was "invented by the police," and therefore isn't a legitimate way to solve crimes. On many of these topics they bring in journalists and members from libertarian think tanks, and present them as experts. People who know what they're talking about are regularly mocked by Penn, in an attempt to make their expertise mean less. It's all well and good saying that they're meant to be biased, but please don't pretend that he's a skeptic. I wouldn't trust Penn and Teller as an authority on anything that doesn't involve magic tricks tbh.

You go from being a little goody two shoes to a whiny teenager to watching the amazing atheist to watching Bullshit! to starting to doubt everyone and everything again. Compared to lots of their topics, where you would easily call them biased.

I also don't really see hate for them being libertarians, their whole stance can be summed up him saying: "I don't believe the majority always knows what's best for everyone." Which I think is a honorable position, you can disagree on principles, but it's perfectly valid reasoning.
