I think I discovered one of the reasons why Arin is less funny. Dan doesn't laugh at his jokes. Part of Arin and Jons synergy was the fact that they laughed at each others jokes, but when Arin legit tries to be funny here, Dan is just dead silent. I'm pretty sure that was something Jon would have laughed at.

I think what they were afraid of is that if they acted friendly with each other people would start thinking that Jon coming back on Game Grumps was a possibility.

well considering he was battling one of the most troubling characters in the game and had to focus super hard on his attack patterns of course he's gonna be quiet and not be the funny guy
has anyone else noticed that dan has been super to himself more in this playthrough? cause he's the one with the controller in his hand.
I think some time around a little before Grumpcade started Arin became much more bearable. Like some time between that magfest pic with Jon and that one reddit post.
Analysing the subtlety of the Grumps' interactions and trying to draw conclusions about the deeper workings of their relationships like some sort of tabloid celebrity newspaper is something I will never understand the appeal (or purpose) of

What Game Grumps videos would you suggest for someone who wants to get into them? I've started their Sonic 06 because Retsupurae are also currently doing a series on it and I love them. I'm four parts in so far, I'm enjoying it but not finding it as amazing as people have made it out to be (can be kinda screech-y if that makes sense)

It had really high highs and really low lows. Any of the Jon-ers Kirby ones are awesome and any of the Danny-era Mario and Sierra ones are good to start with, also Kirby's Epic Yarn.

megaman 7 is a personal favorite of mine and i occasionally go back to some of the mario party videos
for all i don't like about post jon grumps the Teletubbies episode they did is one of their funniest ever; it's also closer to a retsupurae than the sonic 06 stuff is
if you don't like screeching then jon era might not be your thing honestly, the noises are part of the deal
The heart of Darkness is a great playthrough. It's slow, but it has some of the best moments in it. I've never seen Arin so broken
