arin is so fucking bad at super mario 64 JESUS FUCK
"the boos weren't killable in the old games!" five minutes later "why would i assume old world rules?! that's like thinking if you'll hit a block you'll get a fire flower!"
Thanks for picking up the slack while I was on holiday.
You know things are backwards when Game Grumps are powering through a game kicking everything's ass while Two Best Friends Play are playing the same game and being infuriatingly stupid.
Probably the worst thing they did was when they sold all of their one-time-only armor for a measly amount of souls. I don't know what they were thinking.
The fact that he destroyed "Casgroin" (whatever his name is) in a matter of minutes was pretty impressive compared to Woolie and Pat who took, what... one whole part? That's 30 mins. Maybe more I don't recall. I think they either aren't focused enough or they try to calculate every move they do instead of just going in by instinct. Or they could use more vials like Arin did, which increased his survival. The game seems to be generous with bullets and vials.
Arin and Dan have shown to have quite a bitching hidden potential when it comes to certain games. Especially when they either played it before like madmen or just tried it out beforehand. Hell, even research the game, like Ross did for his quickplay of Skyrim, which was enjoyable and insightful.
I don't mind blind plays like Wind Waker or Sunshine because they had great moments. Their reactions and frustrations were amazing and shared by those who played those games. But then you get those gems that are Zelda 2 or this one, which are awesome.
I honestly feel like the overall quality of the playthrough is on average better when the either play beforehand or research. Bloodborne is gonna get fucking dreadful to watch eventually if Arin is stuck at where I think he is.
I really hope this is a new step in the right direction of Arin paying more attention to tutorials and help messages.

This is the type of game that makes Game Grumps really shine. 20 minutes of one of the most boring games ever and they make it consistently entertaining.

Hoo boy
[sp]"Filmed over the course of two years, on location at:"[/sp], wow.
That was actually pretty good. And holy shit those film locations. It's also the raddest shit that they got Steel Panther there, especially with how much Danny loves them.
I think that is the least clothes dan has worn on video.
I wonder if that means Dan will return to Steam train or Grumpcade more often.

Still, that's not a bad recreation of him.
It's pretty fucking lucky that there's a hairpiece that looks exactly like Arin's hair.
Don't want to make any waves, and I know it's breaking new ground, but I'm getting mad at Arin again. Also I noted he said in the latest Mario 64 episode that he loves "this is what games should be" attitudes because it's "passion", but I think it's either short-sightedness or closed-mindedness to try to restrict an art form to only one sort of avenue of development, or to even try to stop it developing entirely. That's where I think our main point of tension is.
Ninja Brian sounds like he is either part of Grumps or just doing cameos

Holy shit Arin hates Crash :o
I totally agree with him on that one, Crash is really boring by today's standards IMO. It's basically on-rails platforming.
The lack of analog support in the original version made it a bitch to play when I dug it out a few months ago.

Oh god the part where Danny dances with Arin and Barry. It came out of nowhere and I lost it. :v:

Hell no, maybe the first one but 2 and 3 are goddamned great
They're no less on-rails than Mario 3D Land/World

I played Crash for the first time couple months ago on the PS3 and its really boring and bad. The music is awful and pretty hard to play.
I've been rewatching their Kirby's Epic Yarn series, and my god do they consistantly and persistantly suck massive wooly wieners at that game.
Fun drinking game; take a drink every time Arin loses a life in Mario 64.

All of a sudden I really want a death compilation of the SM64 series.
