I'm sure they know they can back out of levels, but maybe they don't know you take what you have with you. Usually in games you lose all of what you collected when you quit out of it, so I can't blame them for not realizing that.
Not to mention, in Super Mario World you could only back out of a level and back onto the map if you'd beaten the level already, otherwise you'd be booted back to the menu and regardless, constantly restarting things with as much as they've forgotten the gimmicks of levels, someone would complain about that as well.

Man it's really bittersweet when Dan and Arin play games that Jon and Arin played.
On the one hand they're pretty good games and I like to see them revisited but on the other hand it feels like they're kinda overwriting his part of the show somehow. It's a very odd feeling.
I'd simultaneously love and hate to see them play Kirby Super Star. :v:

I think they're fascinated by it, and want to get farther. Hopefully that'll continue for a while, especially when it's in 2nd place for views (Bloodborne gets 230k~, lttp gets 400k~, where Brutal Mario gets 300k~).

I don't know much about the situation about how The Completionist ended terms with that friend, so I haven't really thought about it. I hope that information comes out at some point and we learn more about it, but until then I can at least appreciate his appearance on grumpcade [sp]Like how he got 3 of the chaos emeralds in the first episode[/sp]
