While I do miss Brutal Mario, this is pretty good (if only because I like Jirard).
Oh wow, it'll be cool to have someone actually really good at games on the show.

For all their talk of "cankles" I see no "cankles". I don't know how anyone could expect anklesbto be thinner.
I dunno, I'm still not cozy with him after he booted his friend from his show for some reason.
And unlike Jon and Arin, Jirard and his mate did NOT apparantly part on good terms.
Thank god I am not the only one. I distinctly have troubles watching The Completionist after what he may have done to Greg which he seemed to be really cool with. Greg was certainly not happy. So I kinda can't look at Jirard the same anymore.

Yeah, I mean with recent grump episodes, you can notice that Arin clearly has no animosity towards Jon in any way, therefore it's just about proof that Jon left on good terms and they're still good mates, even if they're on both sides of the country.
Meanwhile Greg was PISSED about getting booted. So it's clear something happened. and since Greg was the humor as to Jirard's gameplay and info babbling, the moment Greg left the show got really stale to me.
Well, for clarification, we know that Jon didn't leave GG on good terms. The best evidence we have of that is all the stuff he posted on reddit. But after the last RTX, they were totally cool and that's when the conspiracies died down and they were on good terms. But with Greg now it's like really heartbreaking. He was like half the show and his voice was simply incredible. I mean, as someone who got into that show near Greg leaving, it's really easy to see how it affected everything. He played such a huge role in a lot of the episodes, so what the fuck Jirard?
Internet gaming drama will never cease to amaze me.
You think in like 20 years, we're gonna have Behind the Music-esque specials about Game Grumps and Nostalgia Critic and all the different internet personalities?
Like, part of me thinks it's a totally laughable concept, but another part of me is legitimately interested in stuff like that.

Sorry, I missed it - what did he post on reddit?
Not a lot, but his girlfriend went and flippetyflopped her bitchtits around saying "I don't wanna be a Suzy" and generally ambigously hinting at things in the ConspiracyGrumps sub or being a bit mean about the whole "So we hate Suzy now" thing a few months back
Tbh i'm not like a huge Suzy fan but Jon's gf has always seemed kinda bitchy from what we know of her.
Tbh i'm not like a huge Suzy fan but Jon's gf has always seemed kinda bitchy from what we know of her.
suzy seems pretty insufferable to me i dont think its bitchy to hate her guts
Great, here we go.
Can't just have one moment where we can try to agree that the grumps have no troubles and everything is fine and peachy can we?
No because we don't live in your fantasy world.
suzy seems pretty insufferable to me i dont think its bitchy to hate her guts
You say that like she came to your house and bitchslapped you
You say that like she came to your house and bitchslapped you
Or she said Drive and Dredd sucked.
Well for clarification - I'm not even talking about Nicole, Jons gf. Jon HIMSELF has hinted at many things on the subreddit. What we do know, almost for 100% certain, is that whatrver happened, happened at E3 2013. But anyways, I wanna know what the fuck happened to Greg. That was just so blatantly messy.
I know this is probably a popular idea and has been mentioned before, but my belief is that Jon and Arin had different views of what Game Grumps was to them.
Arin saw it as a big project that he wanted to dedicate most of his time into, while Jon saw it as a side project while his main project would have still been his own show.
Game Grumps went in favor of Arin's view, so it really got in front of Jon's plans for his show, ultimately giving him the decision to leave.
[editline]31st May 2015[/editline]
This would explain why you don't see them together these days, Arin could be holding a grudge on Jon for "betraying" him.
Does it always have to end up with "Jon and Arin hate each other"?
I'd rather personally beleive they're still good mates, and it was just a difference of opinion or something.
Also are we seriously being this fucking topic back up again?
[editline]31st May 2015[/editline]
Jon's leaving caught everyone off guard, and because both were quiet about the reasons to Jon's leaving, the internet started a firestorm that wouldn't end until someone said SOMETHING about why Jon left.
Even when Arin made those posts explaining what happened, people still want to bring this up as if there were some childish, bitter high school argument they both had.
It just has to always be a NEGATIVE reason doesn't it?
-Jon's Girlfriend pussy whipped him into leaving
-Jon said something about Suzy
-Arin said something
-Suzy didn't like Jon
The list of reasons go on and on, and they all sound like those stupid high school "she said, he said" bullshit. Jon and Arin are grown ass adults, they wouldn't split over some bullshit negative reason, Jon left because he just deeply felt like his show had to continue, and also he wanted to be with his lovely Girlfriend in New York. Now Jon's happy, Arin's Happy, every one is happy, and the Jon situation got buried under all the great Jon and Grump episodes since then.
Until someone has to bring this up and the thread goes through this process, AGAIN.
i still don't understand why it had to be a bad break-up, they made a fucking dedicated JON IS LEAVING video with acting and they specifically said jon was leaving because gg was making him focus less on his own channel and he didn't like that and preferred to work on his channel 24/7 like he used to
People thrive on drama. If they don't know EVERYTHING there has to be some nefarious reason why it's being withheld from them.
The part that annoys me the most is that Jon's girlfriend makes a couple of vague statements saying that she doesn't want to take the "girlfriend inserted into y show because x guy wants his girlfriend in" position that Suzy, whether you dislike her or like her, assumed, and suddenly that means if you stuck Suzy and Jon's girlfriend in a room together she'd beat Suzy to death.
jesus christ what did suzy do to jon's gf, kill her family?
[sp]also I didn't even know jon had a girlfriend[/sp]
i still don't understand why it had to be a bad break-up, they made a fucking dedicated JON IS LEAVING video with acting and they specifically said jon was leaving because gg was making him focus less on his own channel and he didn't like that and preferred to work on his channel 24/7 like he used to
He didn't even appear in the same shot with Arin in that video. For all we know, he might have already been long gone before he decided he owed it to the fans to make that video.
The whole thing came out of nowhere, so Jon wanting to work on his own stuff, while true, might not even be the reason why he left. So either Jon is a person so spontaneous that he would be like: "Yeah, going to New York now, goodbye", or they had a falling out.
It is possible, likely even, that Jon was fed up with Game Grumps and Arin and being forced to play games, so I can't blame him if he wanted to quit. I'm kinda happy even, since I love Jon's main videos. But for gods sake, it took so long before they started recognizing eachother again. Nowadays, on the other hand, Jon's twitter description reads "former co-star of Game Grumps" and Arin and Dan even mention Jon in a few episodes (*). So all is swell in the land of Grump, for all I care. I have been appeased.
(*): It's mostly Danny that mentions Jon, though. I remember one panel where, when asked for Jon, Danny decided to answer it in Arin's stead to avoid drama. Arin might still be a little uncomfortable about this subject. Arin seems like the guy that goes out of his way to avoid any sort of drama. Don't take my word on this.
I dunno, in some of the Bloodborne episodes and more recently with ALTTP it's been Arin recalling some older moments with Jon, not Dan

I have a feeling they were paid by crunchyroll for that opening.

Read the Description :v:
People want to believe something terrible happened because it sucked hard when Jon left. People want to believe that whatever caused such an upsetting circumstance in their own lives was caused by something really upsetting in turn because that makes more sense to them.
Personally, I don't want to know anymore. I'm in a position where I enjoy both Game Grumps and JonTron and I don't want to learn anything that has the potential to ruin either for me.
my friend bought me a GG shirt for my birthday, and asked for "a surprise" in the requests.

Yeah it's pretty obvious something happened between them but whatever it was it's clear they've both put it behind them.

Again, why does it always come back to "SOMETHING BAD MUST HAVE HAPPEND!". A apposed to "He just left for the hell of it maybe?". Or, "He just wanted to do his own thing, no harm done except for a easily upset internet?".
[editline]31st May 2015[/editline]
Also we should take this moment to reminds ourselves that we Do not need to know about the personal business of the Grumps.
Whatever happened between Arin and Jon, For good or bad, Is none of our fucking business At All.
[editline]31st May 2015[/editline]
The worst part is people will ignore this idea, because there can never be a empty reason to why Jon left.
Jon can not leave for no reason, or for a very simple reason.
No not at all.
It has to be a big, stupid, negative, hate filled reason why Jon left. It has to be this never ending argument over a moment that's TWO YEARS OLD NOW.
Two years are gonna pass since Jon left, and we're STILL, STILL on this topic like it's fresh?
