Jesus christ you are so fucking naive. No we don't need to know what happened, especially now that they're clearly on good terms now, but to ignore all the evidence that something happened and pretend everything is and has always been peachy is retarded.
Jesus christ you are so fucking naive.
Why is it naive to try to be positive about something? To call out someone for trying to spin the whole thing as negative as you can want to believe it to be? Why can't you just accept that Jon left because he wanted to do his own things? Because of a fucking Barbara Streisand effect? That's a weak reason.
If it was a good farewell, they wouldn't have filmed separate videos. They would have had a good, fun goodbye video. Jon had a shoddy, quickly shot video, completely separated from the others. The completionist did the same thing, and we all know how well they ended together. I don't do any of that conspiracy stuff, but to think everything was nice and happy is just naivety. If things were all good, they wouldn't have tried so hard to ignore each other. If my best friend and I were in this situation and went our separate ways on good terms, I wouldn't pretend like he suddenly doesn't exist. Maybe they have patched things up recently, and started being more open about each other to smooth things over, and that's good. But it's clear there was a real problem between the two when this whole thing went down. I know you get really defensive when people talk about this Martin, just try to calm down man. People just want to have this conversation every now and then, just let people talk, as soon as you start going off on people it just escalates the situation and the topic goes on for pages with arguing. People will think what they want to think, it's not a big deal, don't let it work you up so much. The conversation will stop at some point. And when it happens again, just give it a few days and it'll be back to whatever the GG are playing and what not.
so I broke into arin's house and found a pair of panties with jon's face on them in their bedroom drawer CONSPIRACY MUCH

GrumpGate is about oppressing Steam Train fans Confirmed
How about we settle with this message by Arin a year ago that no one talked about yet I think. I honestly don't see the point in talking about this after so long, I kind of regret continuing this topic last page.
Yeah let's ignore Jon's response to that post saying that's not what he wanted and didn't want "people" (Arin) speaking for him.
did you guys forget about that stream where someone in chat asked jon "are you still friends with arin" and there was no response and like 10 seconds of silence?
Okay kids, it's time to change the subject.
Yeah let's ignore Jon's response to that post saying that's not what he wanted and didn't want "people" (Arin) speaking for him.
I have a better suggestion, how about we finally let this whole thing rest? I really don't see the point in arguing about something that happened almost 2 years ago.
Yes please. Martin, if you don't want people to talk about the split...
And unlike Jon and Arin, Jirard and his mate did NOT apparantly part on good terms.

therefore it's just about proof that Jon left on good terms and they're still good mates, even if they're on both sides of the country.
...stop bringing it up out of nowhere.
who even gives a shit

Watching the Sonic 3 ep. 4, Arin explained a bit more of why he doesn't like Sonic. One of which being because being fast doesn't reward you, or something along those lines. He has a point there with the old classic games where platforming was more of a focus, and speed as a feature; but I feel like Arin has over looked recent modern Sonic games. Like the day stages of unleashed, Colors, and Generations where in these games being skilled at the game will allow you to go fast and blaze right through the levels. This isn't a perfect example, but I feel like its worth pointing out that he seems to over look the (better) modern games just because of his dislike for the classic games. Also bonus points for Ross for liking Gamma.
Ross likes robots.

Arin is such a sheltered weeaboo. It's cringe worthy hearing him talk about anything other than media related subjects cause you realize he just doesn't know.

Otherwise I completely agree, people are digging way too far into this.
Arin is such a sheltered weeaboo. D'you even know what that word means? Besides, everything he's done has been related to media, so it's not really surprising.
That was directed at the sheltered aspect. I didn't think I needed to point out how much of a hard-on the guy has for Japanese culture. 6 out of 10 episodes has evidence of that. Who said it was surprising.
arin is a weeaboo; this has been obvious since long before game grumps started
My question is: Who cares if Arin is a weeaboo?
are arin and anime still friends
-snip-
My question is: Who cares if Arin is a weeaboo?
People who watch his show and want to hear discussion about popular western films mentioned by co-hosts, only to be shot down from Arin because surprise surprise he hasn't seen it. How many times has Danny said "oh we should watch that!" instead of an actual discussion. I wouldn't say i'm alone in this either as they stated themselves "people want to hear us discuss these in a podcast." The things Arin has seen and can discuss are typically popular animes the other co-host hasn't seen so he just explains it and there's that. I enjoy random babble as much as the next, but if Arin wasn't so adverse to western culture where Danny swims in it we'd have a lot more interesting discussions.
