As of Episode 4 Guild Wars is now really fun to watch. Whereas before it was painful.
In a shock twist I've found myself feeling really sorry for Arin who was a bit shafted for the sake of entertainment.

[sp]Holly[/sp] really turned things around for Barry and Arin. Ross's approach wasn't exactly the best for transitioning everybody into the MMO environment.
HOLLY was pretty rad. Was less painful to watch. Hopefully shes back for another.

For a big finale, that was rather boring.
I did [sp]expect the Grump Guild to appear, but I expected them all to do something more than just chase Arin & Barry. Something more climactic, followed by goofing around like they did.[/sp]
That really fell flat. I was so HYPED for this series, My Gf even bought me a shirt but then when Dan and Suzy pussed out, it fell flat.
It was a Ross production, what did you really expect? I just went back to see how many views the average Steam Train episode gets, only to realize it pretty much doesn't exist anymore. I feel like Arin only greenlighted this so he'd have something to do. I don't dislike Ross but the dude doesn't bring a whole lot to the table.

I guess he started making enough bank off his own channel, all he really plays are games he would otherwise like Wow, Guns of Icarus, and GTA 5. There's plenty of rad PC exclusives out regularly he could be playing. But he doesn't seem invested in the show/channel. Which is funny because his own channel says "Watch me play games every day!"

Most of Dan's stuff before Starbomb was good. Why is Starbomb so mediocre?
It started off really strong with that Mario one (which, while juvenile, was well written and well composed) but almost everything afterwards has badly metered lyrics and uninteresting, unmemorable melodies, as well as being badly mixed. Is it because he's trying to do so many in a small amount of time?

Probably, you figure his older bands were just projects and NSP takes forever between songs, so Starbomb being an ever present thing in his life, of which we've heard plenty of how much it exhausted him, i'm not surprised that it's pretty terrible.
I actually quite enjoyed the first Starbomb album and thought it was fun, the second one felt a lot less inspired though
Wish they'd spend more time on them and maybe go for more creative jokes instead of the really easy ones
