To be fair, we're getting the first of three new Villain campaigns around the same time this Amiibo launches.
I feel like getting a tacked-on Co-Op mode (in a game that was built originally to be single player) and a bunch of challenges for the price of a slick Amiibo is pretty fair, considering that all the DLC that's actually worthwhile is totally free.

I suppose, I mean It's not the biggest scandal of the century bad, I would rather say it's a really odd thing to say your plastic figurine can unlock a typically usually built in mode of gameplay.

According to some of her videos it's a Thyroid issue that might turn cancerous if they don't get it taken care of soon. Tbh it's mainly just her face, everywhere else has gotten a little chubby but her face man jesus.

God, seeing Dan's reaction to Big's gameplay will be amazing. They literally lifted Pro Bass Fishing's gameplay and put it in here, which I have to say is probably the worst thing about this (and plays into my theory that this was a compilation of all the shit they were working on at the time as a tech demo of sorts)
Let's put it like this.
Sonic the Hedgehog: Fun, Enjoyable, fast platforming. Typical stuff.
Tails: Sonic but not quite as fast, but still enjoyable to a degree.
Knuckles: Not as hard as Arin made it out to be, but definantly a janky shift in gears that'll shake you around, still bearable though.
Amy: Slow as hell, run away from the big robot, thankfully short as hell, and final boss fight is also super easy.
E-102 Gamma: BANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANG (Really enjoyable, and short).
Big the Cat: Fishing. Just mother fucking fishing that will kick your ass if you don't know what to do.
Super Sonic: I'm not personally sure since I didn't get that far because of Big the Bass.

Pretty much how I'd rank them, yeah. Super Sonic is just a big final boss battle, not a gauntlet like later games which is a blessing.
I hope that the guide they use will be useful, because goddamn is that fishing shit bullshit.
Honestly I don't think even a guide will help.
They're gonna NEED to know something about fishing games in order to actually get anywhere. It's luck to catch froggy, and even more luck to reel him in without him breaking away.
I'm speaking from personal experience before I uninstalled Sonic Adventure.
I remember looking up the mechanics and then finishing like every Big level in around a minute each
As a kid I think I got stuck on that first level for what felt like a lifetime.
Then somehow I taught myself what the fuck to do and blasted through the rest.
Also I checked how many Big levels there are.
Five! Five fucking fishing levels! Counting the final boss.
On a good note, all they have to do is beat those five levels and then we can get to the final part of the game.
This is Arin who discovered Amy's hammer jump in the last level, rage-quit Sonic's campaign and took ages to realise how Knuckles Emerald radar worked (I'm not even sure he ever did really).
Big is going to be nothing but an utter fuck up. I'm looking forward to ignoring the Youtube comments.
Remember that when Two Best Friends played Big the Cat's fishing levels, even Liam, who pretty much masters (no exaggeration) every game before playing it on TBFP, had a hard and frustrating time on Big's fishing levels. This is a guy who not only knew EXACTLY what to do, and the best way to do it, but had practiced it several times.
Expect at least an entire episode of GG failing for EVERY level before (hopefully) going "OK, next time on Game Grumps, we will have caught that FUCKING FROG" and then, presumably, spending about half an hour doing it (for the easier levels). It's likely that this may keep them from beating the game entirely.

i dont blame arin at all for not immediately figuring out big's fishing. I got fed up and ooked up the mechanics myself. Thankfully the whole playthrough becomes a speedrun once you know how fishing works

You forgot that Big the Cat is a left hook outta nowhere for anyone that plays Sonic Adventure.
You also do remember that Arin is a human right? He's not a troll bot with the goal of buttfrustrating you because he isn't a speedrunner with accuracy like a scalpel.
