I'll take Arin wandering around ignoring obvious shit for the rest of the year if it means getting interesting conversations.
I think I speak for all of us when I say we need to send in such gems as Metal Wolf Chaos, or "gems" like Gex.
On their end, Mario Maker is a godsend for the same reasons Pewdiepie will continue to do Happy Wheels (I'm assuming he still does).
Endless user generated content, easy to react to, they don't have to learn anything new, and it's guaranteed to get higher views. Personally, I would love more variety (and Grumpcade satisfies that itch pretty well) but I can totally understand them always coming back to Mario Maker. You'd be stupid not to.
I'd understand and maybe enjoy it if it weren't just Arin and/or Dan just raging all the time.
And like I said Dan really shouldn't be raging like that, it's just not him. I like it when he's chill :frown:

This would be infinitely better. Right now, they're spending 3 episodes or so, maybe more, on one level. It's just not entertaining. I load up a video, preview to the end, and check if their still on the same level. Are they? Then I'm skipping that video. They value their commentary way too much, imo. It might as well be a podcast at some point, because watching them do the same thing over and over again with little variation is terrible.

Honestly right now my only issue with the Ocarina play is this Jabu Jabu section is kinda boring. Like I'm sure Arin knows what he's doing, it just feels like a slow section of this play.
The Super Mario Maker ride never ends.
The "guy who 100%'d OOT" in me keeps getting ticked off at how Arin is skipping loads of side-quests, heart pieces, and gold skulltullas. I mean, I know they've never really bothered trying to "do everything" in any of the games they've played, but it hits harder when it's a game you've personally "done everything" in.
I get you but in a relaxed session like what they do, and where people come more for them than the games sometimes, doing a 100% run would be had for viewership. I'd love for them to play something like Dragon's Dogma but between all the wandering and inventory and pawn management and failed boss attempts etc, it'd either last forever or they'd have to cut out half the series.

I wouldn't say Dragon's Dogma is much of a spectator game. It's too badass to watch when you can play.

there's not liking a game and then there's legitimate screaming for 3-4 minutes about something that, while being a fair point against the game, wasn't even relevant at the time and basically shooting down Dan's points by saying "oh but it gets worse." I haven't played SS but from the way he's talking about it I expect the complete opposite, because it seems as if he's trying to dig into the game waaaay too hard when it hasn't even had a chance to prove itself one way or the other.

I'm not asking him to love the game, I'm just asking for it not to be a bitchfest. OOT is fantastic for not becoming that, because Arin's able to bring up points in a reasonable way there and I can come to understand his statements regarding the game. In SS, it seems like he's just trying to dig in deep for things that don't necessarily deserve it (for instance, how the game looks bad. I think it looks pretty from what I've seen.) Which is why I said I hope it's just him putting on a show for the joke.
