Sonic 06 is back baby

I wish Dan'd play more - Arin tends to get screechy less often when he's not the one on the controller
Dan's playing? Looks like I'm staying subscribed, at least until a dry spell lasts another month.
And he is still better than polygon players
an infant is better than polygon players

For the uninformed, this actually isn't a joke.
I'm glad Dan's playing. Arin probably would have blamed the game for not pointing out the HIGHLIGHTED CORPSE WITH THE SHOTGUN they kept ignoring when they were trying to open that one door. Still, I think this series is going to be good once Dan gets the hang of things.
In his defense, in watching the video, i didn't see the shotgun either.
Yeah, the brightness seems a liiittle screwed up.
I noticed it right away, but then again my own playthrough of the game is fresh in my mind so I'm at that mindset where I'll spot damn near everything they miss.
So, that Ocarina of Time playthrough, eh? Facepunch's perspective?

If I cared about Zelda at all and didn't treat Game Grumps as a podcast with visuals I'd probably hate it for the usual reasons Arin is bad at videogames

And people accuse Arin of selling out. Well, they won't need to anymore.
Who's been accusing Arin of selling out?

People in the Youtube comments, people on Rant Grumps. Been doing it for years.
Holy shit Dan's playing for once!

I thought they only played console games on game grumps or did they just give up on that a while ago?

So they finally made it to [sp]Aldrich. Boys I think you should know the truth about Gywndolin by this point. In the words of Steve Tyler, "Dude looks like a lady!"[/sp]

I mean who that matters?

Well, if there is a new Game Grumps episode of Fire Red we all know exactly how much fan demand is really worth. Maybe they'll "accidentally" leave up another Wendy's ad just like with Trials Fusion.

Do you just come in here to be negative

Sorry if you dont like realising that Arin literally begged to sell out to a huge conglomerate. I guess you like being bought and sold.

It's a bit continued from Mario Maker, he's been begging companies to sponsor the show for a while and has led to some interesting conversations on Twitter. I forsee Firered actually coming back, but that's more because he sent the game off to a friend of Dan's than it was because he talked to Wendy's.

'Selling out' is outrageous because the people selling out are changing their behavior because of the money they received, damaging their authenticity in favor of money. Arin is playing with that concept by flipping it around - he is already beaming an exaggerated praise for Wendy's, which makes the idea of 'selling out' to them nonsensical. This is comedy.

Congratulations on your wild assumption, we're all very proud of you. Sherow's post hits the nail right on the head and even if they did accept whatever sponsorship, i'm happy for them, it's more money to do what they want with. They don't owe you anything. They're not gonna turn down opportunities because a couple of crybabies want to throw a shitfit about them selling out. Besides, if you really want to speak of their loyalty to their fans, look at the reactions to their live shows and the fact that they moved away from Polaris because Polaris wanted them to change.
But i guess if you just want to be a negative nancy, go right ahead. Unsubscribe and stop worrying about it.

If it's comedy, why aren't I laughing?
If it's comedy, why aren't I laughing?
Because comedy is subjective? I'll admit it wasn't the funniest bit he's done in those pre-video things, but it's supposed to be funny nonetheless.
I mean i got a kick out of it, because i remember the Trials debacle and i know how much he rants about Wendy's in the most not-serious voice.
What video are we talking about? I dont remember anything about a Wendys video?
What video are we talking about? I dont remember anything about a Wendys video?
Arin talking to wendys at the beginning of one of the episodes, following a trials episode long ago that had a wendy's ad in the corner that was apart of a joke told later on in the episode, but people didn't watch to the end and started calling them sellouts.
"Selling out" is a great thing. It's hard to make money on youtube because you're never completely certain of how much you will make in a month. With sponsorship's, they can get a much better idea of how much they will make in a month, and allocate it accordingly.
What I love is that Arin uses every opportunity he can to help out his friends with their creative projects, along with other artists and animators.
