If I cared about Zelda at all and didn't treat Game Grumps as a podcast with visuals I'd probably hate it for the usual reasons Arin is bad at videogames
in all fairness I agree with him that Zelda shows its age and has tons of shit that is genuinely just bad (because its outdated) in it
Sorry if you dont like realising that Arin literally begged to sell out to a huge conglomerate. I guess you like being bought and sold.
I hope they run an array of bad ads over one of their episodes
just overlay half the screen with fucking garbage
Sorry if you dont like realising that Arin literally begged to sell out to a huge conglomerate. I guess you like being bought and sold.
dude just wants some free wendy's
[editline]27th May 2016[/editline]
like god damn i could go for some free wendy's right now
And people accuse Arin of selling out. Well, they won't need to anymore.
you do realize that that post was actually a joke on arins behalf right?
If it's comedy, why aren't I laughing?
Do you laugh at all comedy? It was clear before my post that you weren't entertained by that particular joke. But that doesn't make it not a joke. I think it's funny, and pleasantly lighthearted, and has succeeded in encouraging a big company to engage in said lighthearted humor. But you don't have to think it's funny for it to be comedy.
Arin talking to wendys at the beginning of one of the episodes, following a trials episode long ago that had a wendy's ad in the corner that was apart of a joke told later on in the episode, but people didn't watch to the end and started calling them sellouts.
They literally put the Wendy's logo there to cover their game code cause they didn't know the pop up was there the whole time.

right, right. here's the episode

OoT is great for what it did at the time (biggest legacy being the 3D Lock-On system). But even I, being a huge fan of the series, disagree on the whole "OoT is the best" some fans go around shouting. It has many problems, one of them being the atrocious performance of the original.
Oh and the pointless last 50 Gold Skulltulas. The reward is not worth the trouble.
If it's comedy, why aren't I laughing?
Because you're a sour individual

And really, that was Arin's point all along- OoT was great for the time but it does not hold up today. The problem came about when he wrote the sequelitis, and he decided to compare it to LttP instead of talking about his point, leading to the video being more about that instead of what he wanted to talk about. Kinda sad, really.

Sounds like the words of someone who's never ordered the number 6 combo.

And it also went through months and months of revision and he's expressed a lot of regret that it turned into what it did.

Someone's never been hooked up with a triple Baconator on a pretzel bun with the cheddar and mushrooms over it.
The fuck you over the top phelbs are on about? I'm all for a simple chicken sammich and fries.
define wendys for us nonamerican plebs
also arins salt over this aldrich fight is giving me life force

It's mcdonalds but not as good and with square patties.
It's mcdonalds but not as good and with square patties.
You fucking what, a triple Baconator shits on everything McDonalds has and will kill you faster to boot.
[editline]27th May 2016[/editline]
It's like you've never tasted the glory of their freshly fried fries in sea salt. McDonalds sells potato sadness in stick form.
McDonalds burger patties are like cardboard that's been submerged in water for hours and salted
I would honestly say that Wendy's is probably the second-best place to get a burger in my area other than Five Guy's. Baconators are the shit

Yeah but Five Guys is a cut above Wendy's. Wendy's is that middle ground between fast food and a true blue burger joint like Five Guys.
It's like McDonald's but you don't hate yourself afterward

I dunno man, its probably because the places near me have always been shit, but I've rarely had good good from a Wendy's. :v: I'll probably have to check out a newer one eventually.
On a more relevant topic, did anyone else get annoyed when Dan opened the map in Doom and immediately closed it because "its too complicated"? I'm fine when someone ignores the lore bits, but the upgrade stuff isn't that hard to comprehend. Considering how many hours he put into Morrowind, I was surprised by how quick he shut that part out.

Anyone catch the dial up modem at 1:19
Why did they put that in? Do they have some sort of rule that they have to slip some sort of anachronism in every news story about the modern Internet?
According to Ross' Twitter, it seems that they're gonna be playing Overwatch.

Tbh, Oot was the best at what it did in its time, but now? OoT is so far from that. It's already been bested by games like Elder Scrolls, dark souls, witcher, Arx Fatalis just a bit, and even other Zelda games. (though, I've mostly listed RPG's that have stats and levels, but on the action adventure fantasy side they've bested OoT for sure at being this huge, amazing quest)

I wouldn't really consider any of those games comparable to OoT, and even then I'd stay OoT still stands up in terms for pure adventure. Especially in terms of sound design, which I think along games like Thief, create a more immersive atmosphere than almost any game since.

fair enough, there aren't too many games that are just straight up action adventure games and nothing else

Darksiders or Okami might be a better comparison. In fact, I consider Okami to be one of the best "Zelda" games.
