This is going to be amazing/terrible, here's what changed since the last we left off-
[sp]Beedrill is now 83, with 6 rare candies in reserve
That's fucking it, no one else was leveled up
She only leveled up Beedrill, per Arin's accidental request
And accidentally kept the attack animations off
Arin is going to sweep the Elite Four with a fucking Beedrill
God fucking damnit[/sp]
This will either be the most amazing thing ever or the biggest failure ever that causes them to take another year-and-a-half break from this game.
EDIT: That said, if he DOES defeat the entire Elite Four [sp]using only Beedrill[/sp] this will indeed be the greatest thing ever.
Welp, So much for beating the ENTIRE Elite Four with only Beedrill. Let alone beating the Elite Four. Arin unfortunately seems to have slacked off on a crucial part any trainer needs to win: tons and tons of health restore items and revives. He also chose one of the worst Pokemon to try and beat the Elite Four with. I don't really care though, regardless of his success i like to see him flounder in trying to beat low grade A.I

He did really well in the last episode, and [sp]he didn't just exclusively use Beedrill either[/sp]. If it weren't for the fact that [sp]he forgot that Bug is strong against Psychic[/sp] he would have won the final battle in the game. Of course, if it weren't for the little bout of poor communication with the person who volunteered to grind for him, he would have sweeped the entire Elite Four AND the Chamption with little effort because he had a good team. But as it is now, he did exceptionally better than I expected him to.
On the bright side, he should have enough money to buy a buttload of restoration items for round 3. Chances are that unless they decide to do the post-game stuff like find Mewtwo, tomorrow will be the long-awaited finale for Pokemon Fire Red.

Yeah he did real well, but alas, he could not take down the entire elite four with exclusively Buntd,. Had to cheese it with other of his team. Real shame too, seeing how buff Buntd, is. Damn, looking back to when this thread was made, freakin Fire Red #82 had come out. A year and a half ago. Fire Red is definitely one of the longer lasting series, in terms of time it's taken to complete it and episodes it's taken to complete it.
Finale time!

Has Arin ever talked about or acknowledged his DBZ-esque furry drawings of "Egoraptors" he made back in like 2001 that are still in the VCL archive listed under his name? He talks about the origin of the name "Egoraptor" in this video, but he doesn't mention those.

Either he wants to keep that stuff in an mind vault buried deep down in the subconscious (unlikely since he pretty much doesn't have any negative feelings towards his past work), or he just hadn't remembered it at that time.
I'm hoping that Arin isn't actually serious about playing both versions (Fire Red then Leaf Green, S Silver then H Gold, etc.) of each Pokemon game in the series for Game Grumps, just one 'completed' Pokemon game was enough for a long time. Playing basically the same game twice would be awful, since there's not enough differences to warrant it in most cases.
Unless they got crafty and played one version on YouTube, and have maybe Barry and Ross play the counterpart on Twitch, with a great finale where Arin/Danny have their team battle Barry/Ross's team after the Elite 4.
I'd rather see them play Platinum instead of Diamond and Pearl. I want to see Dan's genuine reaction to [sp]Giratina's entrance at Spear Pillar[/sp].

I can't wait for their reactions towards what happens near the ending.
Apparantly Kevin has been fired as the Game Grumps editor, according to one source on Rant Grumps.

Not sure why I'm bothering posting this though, Game Grumps seems to be dying here on Facepunch. Not enough 10 year olds on this site.

What was the convincing evidence? OP deleted it, but As far as I can tell from general media Kevin is still there?
What was the convincing evidence? OP deleted it, but As far as I can tell from general media Kevin is still there?
OP had only posted some circumstantial evidence (new people apparently working in the Grump Space, the better quality of editing, stuff like that) and claimed that he only showed the REAL convincing evidence to a mod so he could post the thread. But, he didn't post said real convincing evidence for some reason, and now OP is deleted. So take that news with a grain of salt.
The advert at beginning got me hard, I was not expecting that ending

[sp]Oh god, Arin genuinely lost his shit in this one.... I love it[/sp] :v:
This episode of Red vs Blue was co-written by Barry and Brian. It is stand alone, I don't even think you need to know what RvB is to understand it. It doesn't even follow those characters.
Suzy, Ross, Arin and Barry voice characters in it.

I thought for sure he beat that boss and then there were like four more stages to it.
I felt his pain. It really wasn't clear what he was supposed to do. Maybe block the chin move and soul surge to get past the roar? That's my guess. Hard to think about it when there's so much shit going on and the boss just throws out a devastating new mechanic in the middle of everything.
I've played Sonic and the Black Knight before. Normally I'm extremely forgiving on control schemes but SatBK felt like if I stopped consciously thinking about every waggle and button press that Sonic would just fly off the rails and die immediately. v:v:v
Also lol at the people claiming this game is perfectly fine and Arin is just playing it up/extremely incompetent. I love seeing people's tirades and excuses whenever he plays a terrible Sonic game of which there are many. There was a thread on the subreddit during the Sonic Adventure playthrough where a bunch of people genuinely accused Arin of using a GameShark/ActionReplay to make the game appear glitchier than it actually was, just so he could have more material to shit on the game with.
I don't know how people can be in so much denial. I love the Sonic games to death but most of them are objectively awful. Something can be awful but fun, or awful but endearing. That's not difficult to admit. But some people act like there's some kind of grand conspiracy to assert that these games aren't great. It's one of life's greatest mysteries.

I don't really care if Arin shits on Sonic Adventure's actual faults (like having the most significant glitch in the game be in the first level), but his struggle to catch Froggy was caused entirely by his lack of understanding of the controls. All he had to do was move the control stick down while Froggy was nibbling.

Yeah I get what you're saying, but he does that with tons of games, not just Sonic. It's frustrating, yeah, but it's not a conspiracy to make Sonic look bad.
Though specifically with the Froggy situation... someone on Reddit was saying that nothing in the game tells you to hit down on the stick to hook a fish, and the only place it's mentioned is in the instruction booklet. Haven't verified that for myself, but it's interesting if true.
Granted, Arin probably should have realized something was wrong before the 50th time he failed to hook Froggy and looked up how to do it. But that's how he is. He picks the approach that seems correct to him and he either tries it until it works or until he gets frustrated and blames the game. It's probably an ego thing. He doesn't want to admit he's wrong or could have done it differently and if he does it's only for posterity's sake.
Personally I just take his shit with a grain of salt and laugh at him for being a goof. :v:

It is mentioned when you press "instructions" button on character select screen. The only problem is that game does not force you to read instructions when you first play with selected character.

That confused the hell out of almost everybody who played the game. If you looked in the manual it told you but they dont usually do that sort of thing. Personally ive never liked Sonic so these games look terrible.
