The only time Danny and Arin are great together is when Arin makes Danny lose his shit over something stupid.
It's why Dennis the Menace, Mickey Mousecapade, Amazing Frog, and the Battle Kid finale are like the only Arin/Danny episodes I can recommend to people while Grumpcade/Guest Grumps/Steam Train/Jon Era is jam packed with perfect stuff.
Nowadays if anyone from the Sleepycabin Crew is involved, it's basically a guaranteed 10/10:

they have their ups and downs but generally I like them as a pair, if anything I just wish danny would rein arin back in a little sometimes
I don't think there's anyone on GG I particularly dislike other than ross, and I'm not sure what it is I don't like about his episodes
The Deadly Premonition play through has been a godsend.
Danny/Barry and Ross/Brian are the true best team-ups.
Also, as stated above, any time Oney or Stamper or Spazkid chip in.

They're rarely super funny in my opinion but they're kind of chill to listen to.
If there's one thing I have to say is really fucking terrible about new grumps though, it's the fucking constant advertisements and NSP promotions at the start of so many of their videos. Like I've been watching through their Mario Maker episodes recently and it just gets absolutely ridiculous.

alrighty folks we've gotten all three opinions that have been said hundreds of times before. i really don't like us going down this same path every 5 pages because it goes nowhere and has been discussed to death, especially since we're trying to argue who has the better taste in comedy duos.
i think we should just agree to disagree and appreciate the fun that both sides have given us over the past 4 years.
as chill as Danny is, it's getting increasingly difficult to have any respect for him when he constantly shoves NSP advertisements into the start of every other episode
It's incredibly smart of the grumps to be doing live shows and NSP doing more concerts. Youtube is a pretty shitty long term plan for financial stability. Instead, they can use the youtube audience as a means of filling up their live shows. Looking at how many sold out shows they've had, I would argue that it's working. It's certainly going to be making them way more money then just raw ad revenue.
This is a great strategy for future proofing yourself. I worry for channels like H3H3 that build their entertainment careers on sites like youtube. If you don't expand your outreach, when the platform goes down, you'll go down just as hard.
I want them to bring back Deadly Premonition sooo badly.
