Just look at the way his face moves. You can't do that naturally with a suit.
you're greatly underestimating modern animatronics
CG enhancement in post is a high probability though
no body else wondering what the space penguin onboard the falcon is? i mean is it chewies fuck buddy? does he have a love interest at last?

according to the wiki they're sea birds native to the planet that luke was hiding out on
if they were ANYBODY'S fuck buddy,

It's a porg, a Force penguin. [sp]It is friends with the Force sloth that lives in the Force tree that the ghost of Darth Vader turns into[/sp]
[sp]the Force tree that the ghost of Darth Vader turns into[/sp]
WHAT, is that [sp]what the cavernous wooden-looking place is?[/sp]
WHAT, is that [sp]what the cavernous wooden-looking place is?[/sp]
Wait let me back up
[sp]Yes, the tree is the Force tree, where the beginning of the Force resides. Supposedly Darth Vader's ghost shows up and turns into a Force based sloth.[/sp]
I'm betting it is the Supremacy, as it looks like a factory.

Yeah, looks like they got minior changes like the TIEs did. Though these changes are more noticeable

They revealed the walkers a few months back. I don't remember their names, but they are nicknamed gorilla walkers due to how they walk.

was gonna say they look very 'silverback' like
also is that an OG AT-AT next to one at the bottom right?
[editline]e[/editline]
oh there's one in the foreground too, man those blended in during the action
was gonna say they look very 'silverback' like

Yes, they're twice as big as the old AT-ATs. And for whatever reason they have these sharp spikes to cut wires or, to give an entirely random example, tow cables.

tow cable defense sounds reasonable on its own, given they're much larger, slower targets. Curious what those skimmer things are gonna do in that clash

I was talking about the OG walkers with them.

The legs are also built that way to stabilize that main cannon on its back

You can spot the classic walkers more easily in the factory shots.
They’re not 1:1 identical, the heads are different shapes and the body armour looks different.
Same with the AT-ST looking ones

None of what they’re saying is confirmed, take it with a grain of salt.

Yes it can.
Kylos tie silencer is pretty cool when it was announced I was hoping we would see them bring back the tie interceptor since its basically a tie advanced X1 mixed with a tie interceptor but so far according to the trailer nope.
Seriously the tie interceptor needs more love.

AT-ST's were redesigned slightly

The big chunky walkers are siege walkers of some kind. I don't remember the designation, but they're designed for base assaults.
The hands and wrists allow them to dig in the ground and use their stationary heavy cannons at different elevations and angles.
Are the big FO walkers troop transports like the classic AT-AT? Might explain why the First Order's still using modernised versions of the latter alongside them if they're not.

The big ones are basically walking cannons

I swear to god if they still can't deal with being tied up by the legs then they might as well just quit while they're ahead.

I think makingstarwars.net had a bit about [sp]the Resistance dropping giant gemstones on the walkers.[/sp] Who knows if that's anything more than a super early concept, like the planetary shield-piercing ship that was going to be in The Force Awakens.
There's a random FO shuttle from the Poe Dameron comics in the background of Phasma and Finn's fight.

Look a little closer at the big walker's legs. They've made a fix for the cable issue for them.
Am I the only one fearing for [sp]Finn[/sp]? I mean I don't think [sp]Captain Phasma is gonna take Finn to kindly after being dumped in the garbage chute.[/sp]

if anything considering they still have AT-ATs, i think they're a bit transport and a bit artillery. their forward leg joints also bend inwards, meaning the front of the entire thing can tilt up and down to fire lower or higher. AT-ATs have no such capability

I said it before in the Star Wars thread I'll say it again.
The new AT-ATs look cool it's just... they look like they have beards and it's kinda weird.
