Since when did getting banned for recording become a thing? what server admins think they're cops now and don't like to be filmed?
I submitted an appeal...

This is my main problem with a lot of RP servers. There is so many goddamn rules and regulations that it isn't RP anymore. It is just raid/money printer simulator.
don't forget the 1,000 shitty downloads that you'll never actually see ingame
don't forget the 1,000 shitty downloads that you'll never actually see ingame
also gotta love all the jobs you cant actually use unless you donate money to their shitty server
"well no you see you gotta pay to be a hacker becacuse it uses a cool watch dogs model"
[editline]17th November 2014[/editline]
but I did once find a server that seemed to not do that, Alan Wake was the drug dealer model and anyone can be it, i became a drug dealer and followed a bunch of gangsters around repeatedly taking their pictures over and over again with the camera, the whole time i kept screaming "IM GONNA GET THE BIG SCOOP"

ok
im pretty sure there is no "no recording" rule in the motd
I don't think it will process all the way to 1080p60 after using the youtube editor all over it. It's at 1080p now so here you go:

hmm maybe not
Meh there are many more like it.
Plus who the fuck bans for recording? I figured most admins would want people to record their time on their servers because it's free advertisement, I guess not or they don't want people finding out that their admins are a bunch of a corrupt no-fun allowed jack asses.

Wait, is there a no recording rule on the MOTD? Your post says you didn't notice it at first glance and then you say you're sure there isn't. :v:
also no recording rule means no recordings of griefers? neat.

I'm pretty sure I didn't see one.
Could be wrong tho
"You're breaking NLR, you will be frozen"... wow, RP has no fuckin' soul anymore. It's a husk full of scripts and rigid rules and nobody wants anything interesting to happen so they just yell grief and voteban.

Yeah I miss the good ol' days
gmod rp 8.3 / 9 / 9.04 were good fun
I honestly do not understand the point of NLRs, to me they encourage griefing and RPDMing(It's fun sometimes, but it can get annoying real fast) and people need to realize that even when on a RP gamemode, it's still just a game and you're supposed to have fun and being forced to restart from scratch everytime you die is not fun for most people(unless it's Dark Souls apparently)
I remember when playing on the WCA RPDM servers they didn't have any of that shit and it was about having fun.

The fact that he thought had legal rights over Trouble in Terrorist Town and thought there were "Garry's Mod Laws' is both terrifying and astounding to me.
Man that Debonair server has a script that allows the administrators to view your Steam Overlay.
All of the sudden one of the admins showed up and told me to close FRAPS
spooky

Christ that seems like a whole lot to just ensure someone doesn't come onto a server and fuck around slightly
Sounds like something that could be hella exploitable. I'd imagine you could force them to download something via them viewing your steam overlay.

That has to be against some kind of Steam Rule, should probably contact Valve about it.
I swear admins on RP servers think and act like they're fucking gods because they seem to think that people on servers should bend to their wills.
You need to hold a server hostage with the sodacan crash glitch.
