Most drugs, even weed can activate mental disorders that may have been dormant. They don't cause, just trigger. Also things like HPPD can stick around for a while, if not permanently after taking hallucinogenics. Or it may develop over long term.
HPPD is pretty fun
a couple stories on the internet aren't scientific studies showing a causal link between lsd(or any other drug) and any for of mental disorder
lsd can sometimes (very rarely) cause catatonic psychosis
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Substance-induced_psychosis
I could dig up a bunch of different articles and research papers attributing drugs to the onset of various mental problems.
this doesnt source shit related to hallucinogens like lsd
yea marijuana, amphetamines, and alcohol can all cause psychosis or exacerbate psychosis, but there isn't evidence to concretely say that lsd does the same
now get me actual studies

"The hallucinogenic experience is so striking that many subsequent disturbances may be attributed to it without further justification. The highly suggestible or hysterical individual would tend to focus on his LSD experience to explain subsequent illness. Patients have complained to Abramson that their LSD exposure produced migraine headaches and attacks of influenza up to a year later. One Chinese girl became paraplegic and ascribed that catastrophe to LSD. It so happened that these people were all in the control group and had received nothing but tap water."

He doesn't look like he's in any pain or anything, just tripping. The dude was probably alright in a few hours.
They really shouldn't have gotten the cops there. Literally the last thing you want when tripping is to go to the hospital and have them restrain you to a bed and stick needles in you and shit. It's terrifying.

That quote is referring to people who blame LSD for various health problems long after they've taken it which is not what I'm getting at. Also, from the same section
"There are some cases of LSD inducing a psychosis in people who appeared to be healthy before taking LSD.[56] In most cases, the psychosis-like reaction is of short duration, but in other cases it may be chronic"

I don't know, but I'm pretty saddened by his state. He seems to be completely out of reality and if there weren't his friends around who knows what could happen to him.
You could also be trapped in a never ending trip.
Never happened.
That's fucking awful. NOBODY deserves to be stuck in psychedelic hell like that.
Me and some friends thought we'd be badasses the first time we did shrooms and we each took 6.5 grams. For those of you who don't know anything about shrooms, that's waaaaay more than youre supposed to have for a first trip.
One of my friends had a really dramatic ego death experience and had to go to the hospital after falling down in a gutter where he proceeded to claw at himself and scream in terror for several dozen minutes. I walked through my own personal hell and fell down in the storm drain beside him, where my body melted through the grate like chunky gore soup and was passed through the sewer system and all these terrifying water processing plants and whatnot. The third person present was the responsible one who had to get the car and come pick us up (thank god he was able to hold his shit together).
In short, bad trips are not fun and nobody deserves to have one

Yea, by the looks of it... he did.

that must be why they did it and he said "stop stop stop stop stop stop" and then started screaming frantically

Sorry, I skipped past that part. I guess that moment might not have been so enjoyable but it only lasted a couple of seconds until he was back to exactly land.

dude it's pretty obvious he's having like the best trip ever. even after the cops restrained him he seemed to forget all about it and went back to repeating "EXACTLY!"
From personal experience, when you're deep in a trip you tend to get these profound realizations in your head, whether they be philosophical, psychological, personal, or whatever. Maybe the guy in the video is tripping so hard that he just keeps coming to agreeable conclusions about life in his own brain repeatedly. The only thing he can keep coming back to is "Exactly!"

fucking amazing avatar. gotta love fear and loathing.
but yeah, i guess its subjective. I would definitely only be doing something like that if I was having a bad trip. either that or I've never tripped so hard or had such a resoundingly good trip that I was reduced to ecstatically screaming nonsense at the top of my lungs.
i guess i'm too used to trying to fend off the thought of a bad trip throughout every experience to even consider the possibility that someone could actually be having a good time. Ever since that first shroom trip I mentioned, i've had a hard time enjoying myself on psychedelics. shrooms are a longshot but acid and DXM tend to be way better

Generally it just boils down to an individual's brain chemistry, really. I've taken shrooms three times and had bad trips every single time (was hoping the third time would be the charm, it wasn't, needless to say I stay away from shrooms now) but overall, every other psychedelic experience has been pleasant. I'm a devoted acidhead, every time I fry I have a good time. But I have friends that can't handle acid at all and freak the fuck out if they ever take it. The same friends react oppositely to shrooms, they have good experiences.
When it comes to psychedelics, you just have to take the good with the bad. Even my bad trips (only on shrooms, oddly enough) have been meaningful experiences that have helped me mature and grow as a person. When you start to slip into psyworld and it becomes overwhelming or frightening, you just have to remind yourself that you're on a substance and it's just reacting with your body - that the experience is transient and you should just enjoy it while it lasts. That's the key - you have to keep that sober spot in the back of your mind that you can come back to when you need a reality check.
Even if you think you're having an unpleasant experience, don't look at it as pleasant or unpleasant. Those terms are misleading because in a psychedelic trip it's never that black and white. Just look at it as an experience alone, something that you can learn from. Just go with what's happening and don't try to overanalyze, force ideas or fight the trip because you'll just end up hurting yourself.

Exactly! That shit sucks. They should have just left him alone while making sure that he was well hydrated. They wouldn't be able to do anything for him at a hospital, except make things worse.
i tough this kind of videos where ilegal... that was on 2007... some one has tha hippie who taste salvia or something like that?
Reminds me of..

This is why drugs are bad and everybody who does this should be arrested by the police force and taken to prison.
