These videos always make me smile ear to ear. Something so simple can bring so much joy. I also love the videos where deaf people hear sound for the first time, it's so heart warming.
I'd love to get these, but I'm only a mild-protan and they don't have a prescription version for my Rx.
Now... contacts... then... surgery... then... CYBERNETIC ENHANCEMENT.
I find it really strange and scary that some people can't see all the colors.
I find it really strange and scary that some people can't see all the colors.
Maybe you can't see all colors properly and you don't even know it...
It costs more than a monthly wage for a person here. Not very cheap for us.
are you working full time for $2.50/hour or is the price adjusted significantly higher than ~$400 for a pair
Maybe you can't see all colors properly and you don't even know it...
WHAT IF MY GREEN IS YOUR YELLOW AND YOUR PURPLE IS MY CYAN?
I find it really strange and scary that some people can't see all the colors.
Well neither can you, you can't see all wavelengths of the EM spectrum.
That's adorable. I love how he's just picking up everyday stuff, though it'd be super romantic if they were in a field of flowers or something.
It costs more than a monthly wage for a person here. I can easily afford glasses like this, but is it reeeeally worth it? I'm not bothered by it that much, unless I'm taking the subway in a bigger city.

You can just return them after all.
If that simulation is like what you have, I'd say it'd be worth a try.
[del]i don't see a difference at all on that simulation[/del] okay there's a slight difference, yeah
Why not try them out? Well, to someone who has full color vision, this is a massive difference. The background looks like a sepia photograph. I can only say that if my vision changed into yours now, I'd absolutely buy glasses to correct it.
[del]i don't see a difference at all on that simulation[/del] okay there's a slight difference, yeah
Yeah that's a big effect. If these glasses work then they could be basically adding a whole color for you.
Yeah that's a big effect. If these glasses work then they could be basically adding a whole color for you.
are the colors on that image that different? :v: i only see a small change in the green, making it more vibrant really
If I didn't know the original image, or that it showed a landscape, I'd call the landscape in the filtered version a dull yellow / ochre and the sky a dull purple/pink. And yes, your rainbow is missing an entire color (green).
now that you say it, i do see that the green is gone on the loupe example not that noticeable for me though
Mild deutan is mine. Which one is supposed to be the normal vision, the lens or the surrounding picture? I see no difference in this and the total deutan and this bugs me. :v:

Did you really only now find out you're colorblind :v: [editline]21st July 2015[/editline] You'll probably wanna do the test yourself.
now that you say it, i do see that the green is gone on the loupe example not that noticeable for me though
you don't seem to be understanding that that's the whole reason you need these
you don't seem to be understanding that that's the whole reason you need these
yes i know, they're out of stock though :v: why can't they show a picture how it would be with the glasses on then? that shouldn't be impossible, right? changing vibrance and shit
DanKam is an iOS app that does something similar (though I imagine this works better).

There's some pretty crazy technology behind those things.
I'm not sure if they can simulate the effect using a computer monitor. There's some pretty crazy technology behind those things.
I feel the same way, but I don't understand how exactly the glasses work, so it leaves me confused.

Did you really only now find out you're colorblind :v: [editline]21st July 2015[/editline] You'll probably wanna do the test yourself.
No, I've known since like 15 and it's been tested multiple times by doctors. I've only learned how bad it actually is after I started researching it a bit. I didn't know it was as extreme, I was just labeled "RG colorblind" and told it's actually pretty common in men. I was never told about the severity though. And I did do the test. Extreme deutan is what I get. Here's a repost of the link I put on the first page: http://enchroma.com/test/result/total-deutan/
