i didn't know there was snow in Afghanistan
There is snow in Afghanistan in certain regions. I'm not sure if this video was taken in Afghanistan though or not, it could be the Alaskan National Guard for all I know.
Wow that costs the taxpayers billions, each. Nice one pilot.
Billions?

My favorite part is where it actually starts flipping.
i didn't know there was snow in Afghanistan
Geographically speaking, Afghanistan is in the mountainous regions of Asia. Kabul is higher up than Denver.
apaches are cheap as fuck they're only like $18 mil
only $20 mil? Oh joy let's buy five!!!!11
The altitude they were at, yeah that Apache could have normally lifted out of that no problem, but not at that height. Apaches are nuts, they can do Aelron Rolls, loops, all kinds of shit
jesus, the way it starts flipping a fuck in the distance, at the end i don't know how the pilot could survive that
only $20 mil? Oh joy let's buy five!!!!11
It's not cheap being this sexy
jesus, the way it starts flipping a fuck in the distance, at the end i don't know how the pilot could survive that
billions in RnD incase it gets shot down and crashes or just crashes
Someone is getting dishonorably discharged and probably getting jail time for misuse and destruction of government property.
Amazing how tough Apaches are, seeing it bounce off the ground and continue flying before spinning out is quite impressive, seeing as most normal helicopters would likely crumple. Edit: Well I guess the tail rotor isn't so tough seeing as it flew off...
Bad Company 2/BF3 helicopters in a nutshell. Those things are awfully awkward to control. Dunno what the guys in the video were thinking. How they're going to explain that one... Even more stressful then if they did get injured.
I found BF3 helicopters easy as hell to control. Bad Company 2 wasn't so bad as well.
I don't know if he'd be dishonorably discharged or not. Probably given a desk job if he wanted to remain in the service. There was another incident of an Apache crashing (Though much less severe) because the pilot tried to fly between two trees. Normally he did it all the time but over the time he was deployed and returned, the trees grew some and closed the gap. I don't think he was dishonorably discharged. But the fact that this happened over so many people, who knows, could be thrown into prison. Could go either way really

Bear in mind these specific examples are probably older than any of us here. On the video though, they must've been either stupidly bored, stupidly drunk, or both.
It's not cheap being this sexy

Yep, but I think the reason it crashed is because the pilot panicked after that, tried to climb at a very steep angle and then the heli stalled.
He didn't panic he tried to perform a maneuver called return to target but he failed.
There is snow in Afghanistan in certain regions. He serves in the Canadian army but has been paired up with US Army and Marines and even fought alongside SAS on one occasion.
