I dont understand why everyone still thinks AC3 is gonna be an "America Fuck Yeah" game. It's been stated by the devs and in numerous trailers that Connor is fighting the Templars NO MATTER THEIR ALLEGIANCE. for fucks sake AC has always been about corruption, hell I wouldn't be surprised if we end up killing George fucking Washington

And there's the protagonist being an American with a bald eagle over his shoulder killing filthy Brits
Except eagles have been a symbol of the Assassins since the first game.

You know watching all these rerun games and motion gimmicks at e3 made me think of the video game crash of the 80's when the entire industry nearly died because of how low the quality had sunk and how prevalent brand marketing had become. What we have here is essentially the same thing you got your fifa's, madden's, Modern Warfare's, your motion controlled novelties. Eventually the mass market these things are targeted at will get jaded and move on to something else, it can't go on forever, just look at what happened to handheld consoles with the rise of apple's tack and pads.

At least there's some games which try to change, i.e. Halo (sue me) as they're breaking new ground with a 12 year old IP.
