That was amazing. I can't wait for Episode 3!
Good thing Gaben isn't a part of this or it'd never happen.
Shit man, I love these gmod-styled sfm movies. Especially this guy, I loved the last one he made.
This was GMod, not SFM.
what do you mean

Do it for him.
The rottytops credits, the fucking crowbar flip instead of breaking the boards, everything was perfect about that video.
That thumbnail and the video is the best thing ever.
With how good their voice actor is, it's either the same person singing or they probably did it themselves. One less video credit to list.
Afaik it's the same voice actor.
A hero for our age.

If I remember correctly I think that's Kleiner's voice actor in Black Mesa Source. He's done a couple of other videos like that:

Didn't FP always hate kitty0706's videos because of how random they were?

FP isn't a hive mind etc etc.

Still, why does this video get an overwhelmingly positive response but his videos never did? Why did people call him an egoistic furfag yet everyone grieved when he passed away? There's so many questions.
We were going through a phase.

I don't really know of any humor I would blanket declare unfunny, and what I would say about random humor is that it's a very fine line between being good and bad, random and randumb, and it's really hard to define what makes the difference. If I just go uh, idk, BANANA, that's not funny, it's just cringy. If I just make a noise it can be either cringy or funny depending on the context surrounding it. So with this, I'd say what helps it is that despite it's random nature, it's actually still cohesive. The jokes have punchlines to them, the slapstick works, and some things aren't completely out of the blue but things you actually know about, like everyone knows what it's like to constantly be trying to say shit and people keep interrupting you, and everyone's well acquainted with vicious homoeroticism. So when you combine things you can understand in a narrative that still makes sense with a funny face, it can work.
Or some shit. I don't fucking know, comedy is hard, random comedy is harder. Also nobody was happy about Kitty dying because most of us aren't happy about people dying even if we don't particularly like them and Kitty was part of a lot of our childhoods
To me, it's the over-the-top animations, slapstick and facial expressions, that are typical of 90's-00's French cartoons (which in turn seem to have taken notes from Ren & Stimpy, Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes). Stuff like Space Goofs, or Ozzy & the Cockroaches:

Kitty0706's videos had a lot of this stuff too. They're very cartoony & random, yet somewhat cohesive & relatable; I know what it's like to play Amnesia at night, and how everyone spams voice commands in the beginning of the match, or when your medic goes afk. And this video still has those completely out of the blue things, like that overreaction at those wooden planks.
There's no denying that Antoine Delak's and Kitty0706's videos are very similar.
the layers upon layers of random audio cues
it's hovering between ed edd n eddy and johnny test
I'd say more EEnE than Johnny Test, the sounds are actually a little more varied than *SNAP*SNAP*SNAP*SNAP*SNAP*
Also at 3 minutes 40, as Freeman is grabbed before being raped by the HEV suit, you hear Jonny 2x4.

In Kittys videos, literally everything was a randum~ ragdoll with thrusters. This has actual impressive animation going on, and excellent faceposing, unlike Kitty0706's completely over the top, min-max slider face posing.
It just hits the mark.
IMO I think people are worshipping Kitty because he's dead. Yeah, yeah, it sounds dickish, but it's proven through history. Artists are ridiculed when alive and revered when they die.

I personally don't really worship him but he's the guy who made me make videos.
[editline]16th October 2015[/editline]
Not sure if thats the case with anyone else but I learned a lot from him outside of gmod and stuff.
that transformation scene changed my life
Space Goofs
DUDE, that was the name i was looking for
i fucking swore i knew that jingle at 5:26 from somewhere, but i couldn't put a name on it
This guy sure loves man butts
He's French what did you expect
that girly moan tho
What's the little funk riff that plays when it cuts to the citadel?
Holy shit I can't get over how fucking good this is, like it's near perfect machinima
What's the song at 5:26 I can't seem to find it in the credits.
imo kitty's videos were random in a bad way
it was like fitting as many jokes as you can in a loose "story" (somewhat like Family Guy) while this guy's videos kind of follows a path and the jokes come along as part of the story
not to mention the animation difference, good lord
like i can remembe a moment in mass defect where it cut to an animated scene of something with literally no relevance and it was atleast 2 minutes and i was just lost

The brand of random that people hate and call randumb looks at a scenario, and includes options and outcomes that are never even related to it, whatsoever. This video, though, looks at a scenario, keeps many of the same aspects, but takes the possibilities and outcomes to the extremes.
For example, the base set up was the Combine, the trainyard, and Gordon. A train does come through every now and then. They "randomly" take it to the extreme, Gordon takes it up the ass, and shoots it back out. It still stays within the confines of the trainyard, Gordon, and the Combine.

That end bit with G-man after the credits was interesting to say the least, always how I kind of pictured it..
In other words, I just discovered this series and holy-shit-i-can't-wait-for-the-next-one.
It is literally the best Gmod series I have -ever- seen -at all- I need more.
