Say goodbye to this legendary game and say hello to GTA 5

who cares about the graphics in SA, when the gameplay was solid
we can all agree gtav looks miles better anyways
The funny thing about all of this is, GTA 5 wont even have servers you can host yourself, meaning that it will still be a non moddable server unlike GTA SA.
That is because GTA5 doesn't have multiplayer, however GTA Online is this pseudo-mmo like thing.

I wouldn't want the multiplayer of 4 ever again, and while MTA is awesome, I think GTA Online did the best rockstar could. Besides heists.

If GTAO did the best rockstar could, that was damn poor. I don't believe it.

Free roam is awesome, missions are great, now the technical side? Its horrible.

More about the general feel of online. There's nothing to do in the open world, you have to start matches to do stuff with friends, really.

As opposed to GTAO, where there actually is nothing to do in the open world, since there are no pedestrians, no cops, just a completely empty world?
GTA SA had the best story in the sense of introducing new and cool characters, getting you attatched to them and so on.
The biggest problem with 5 is that I think there was a lot of potential for some interesting shit to happen - lots of plot developments that could have been really really intense but just went nowhere.

The boat is a prime example. Where the fuck is my boat?

I'd have to agree with this the most. in GTA SA there were tons of missions strung to new characters you meet for each new city you unlocked, in GTA V it doesn't branch out and when it does branch out, the new characters are either rarely seen or under utilized. Like that mission with Trevor and the high asian dude. why couldn't there be more missions with that? The entire story arch based around them ended in like two missions.
disappointed in the choice to render at 4:3 and 480p.

It was made in 2008...
The best tribute to a videogame I ever seen.
Hope you don't mind if I share my favorite videogame tribute video. I spent damn near a decade playing this franchise, though...

GTA:Online is good at what it does but it's definitely inferior to MTA which has lua scripting for gamemodes and assets. Now.... The better GTA:Online implements their mission editors and shit, the better the MTA/SAMP2 team can integrate that into their inevitable mods.

It's like comparing Half Life 2 without mods to Half Life 6 years into the modding development scene.
GTA:Online has the potential to reach greatness when it comes to their online components but right now... It's just kind of meh compared to the shit that people have been playing on MTA/SAMP for the past 6-9 years.
Yeah GTA5 had a horrible story imo.
Like the whole ending mission where [sp]you kill off all these minor characters like they are meant to be big baddies[/sp]
Just didn't feel as good as a story as it could of
SA with mods is still better than GTA V and so is MTA. It's miles better than GTAO
Then again being better than Online doesn't take much

SA graphics were average on release, yes, because r* wanted to focus on gameplay. And if one takes off his VC nostalgia goggles he can see that SA blows every other GTA game out of the water gameplay wise.

V's story (especially franklin) generally feels cut and butchered all over the place.
Can't we just all agree that the video was fucking awesome and the game was great?
Godspeed sweet prince
nah but really, I still play sa-mp from time to time, it's fun because
the steering and stuff were not about how realistic it was but how much fun.
gta v for pc will be a new era, but no gta game will ever achieve what SA did .
Is there a non 360p version?
3 character system really deteriorated the story.
A good gimmick only for free-roaming.
Honestly, this is one of the best parts of GTA5 to be honest. I was so afraid that they would fuck it up tremendously but each character feels and acts natural together, it's a great narrative way of telling the story.
GTA V doesn't have san fierro and las venturas.

The only worse story than San Andreas was III because there was barely any
Vice City had and IV easily had the best story

Agreed, but I hope you realize as well that this is a learning process for R*, so saying this is the best they can give us in their release schedule isn't a stretch by any means
Should have used a different song by The Who. Eminence Front is part of the soundtrack.
Cool video though. Has the Steam version been fixed after Rockstar 'updated' it?
I will never understand people who say "goodbye" to old games like they're getting deleted or something. I still play gta II and III, and still will play them long after I'm done with GTA V.
Its there for me?
YouTube simply tells me "this video is not available"
which is weird, because usually it also says that it's unavailable to my region (Germany) for reason x (usually it's to do with licensing issues)
San Andreas is just more fun, open, and more about fun missions and good gameplay. Also it just has tons of jankey charm and mysteriousness, and the game's humor is less sharp and cynical and more silly and ridiculous.
GTA V gets dull after you spent like 10-15 hours on it after you beat singleplayer. However I still admire all the detail in GTA V. Also I start to get sick of the cynicism of it, the humor just doesn't make me laugh after you have seen it a bunch of times.
Hopefully GTAV brings some mods to the table that will keep me interested though, and I hope we get to set up private sandbox servers again to use trainers and mods with.
Vanilla GTA V online is alright, but I honestly only like the racing in it.
