you know except he saved a life
And risked his own to save a dog. He commited a burglary, and if the owners had caught him in the process of doing so they would have been legally within their right to shoot to kill. Had the police caught him he'd have a burglary charge on his record. It could have ended very badly for that guy had he been caught in the act. Incredibly risky. And incredibly stupid. It may yet end badly for the guy, the news piece mentioned the police are looking to make an arrest in this case. He may yet still have to live with that burglary charge, and that's going to seriously fuck him over. The redditor had a good mindset but he was a bloody moron for how he went about it. Heart in the right place, brain turned off.
Here's the thing that gets me. If he was really just "stealing someone's dog" why would he brag about it on the internet and call a news agency? Wouldn't he rather just lay low and be happy with the fact he had gotten away with theft?
Because someone they know made a reddit thread about it and he tried to fucking justify how he stole the dog and not look like a retard. and again the people blindly believing some shit head makes me sick
How cute that you say that just after taking some random unverified dudes word as gospel
The guy who took it was a thief. You just don't break fucking locks and steal shit from random people
You don't even need to read what the guy posted to know that those people shouldn't be allowed to own a dog, probably even a child
For one, don't put words in my mouth, I've never said that what he did was right and I've never said anything about him in particular, I only said that from the proven info(mainly from the news video) these people should not be allowed to have a live animal. It seems that you should be the one to do some investigating son. And as far as I know, CGDarden has not been verified either, hell there's some shifty things with everyone involved, information changing as time goes on etc. So stop yelling at people in all caps without doing your own research and taking some peoples words as gospels and taking others and twisting them.
At this point, it seems like a he said/she said story. Wish I could side with one person, but ether one of them could be lying.
I'm not fucking taking it as a gospel. Don't be a dweeb Did you even read any of the reddit links even when it was all a circle jerk and fucking death threats? I read a shit load of post to draw my fucking conclusion. You obviously didn't even put in the effort to do just that. and you know I'd post each and every one I saw on reddit but those fucking links are there for a reason. You should learn to investigate. You're taking solely one persons word while many fucking anecdotes would be more fucking credible. ONE PERSON'S WORD THAT I DON'T EVEN NEED FUCKING ANECDOTES LIKE THE ONES ABOVE TO DISPROVE. YOU DON'T CALL ANIMAL CONTROL OR THE HUMANE SOCIETY AND WHEN THEY DON'T COME JUST REPOSSESS A DOG. KEY WORD BEING "REPOSSESS" BECAUSE THE LOGICAL CONCLUSION A PERSON SHOULD MAKE IS "IF THE FUCKING ANIMAL CONTROL DOESN'T COME FOR THIS DOG, I WILL TAKE THIS DOG TO THEM." Neither do you make fucking assumptions without proof. This guy was going around saying it was malnourished on fucking Reddit and that's why he'll keep it. He said stuff like "It had obvious sides of mistreatment" but he never once showed any pics for that but instead he fucking gloats about how they wont getting the dog back. That's fucking insane Me posting shit like that is just using that fucking anecdote against his word. To show that there is more than one side of any story and you know I didn't quite fucking clarify so I won't make a big deal out of that, but the rest of that entire fucking post is to show why you should investigate and analyze what you're told. Don't just eat up shit like "Dognapper saves dog. Savior of the world" That shit just makes everything worse for everybody
You deserve every bad reading rating that you would get if it was still on the forums. He did call police and animal control, police were busy dealing with car accidents from the ice storm, and the animal control centres couldn't send anyone because of the ice storm as well. This case is similar if not the same as breaking a car window in the summer to save an animal that's locked in. sure he's being pretty dickish about the whole thing but seriously calm the fuck down. also the original owners of the dog made 3 or 4 fake accounts on reddit and posted very similar stories in broken 3rd person, the image you posted being one of the fake accounts.
it makes you sound like a jerk.
buddy you're the only one sounding like a jerk right now
Give me one quote where I say he's in the right. And I've agreed that pretty much nothing in this clusterfuck has been verified. And in more "You haven't done research son" news, it's already been said that this is their second dog, their first dog died due to unknown reasons. [editline]13th December 2013[/editline] I literally could not give a shit about the "dognapper" or the moronic owners of the dog, I give a shit about the wellbeing of the dog itself.
Because someone they knew made a reddit thread about it and he tried to fucking justify how he stole the dog and not look like a retard. and again the people blindly believing some shit head makes me sick
Well you're some shit head that is blindly believing the words of some other random dude. Does that make this a double negative or are you just a moron?
Can't stand animal cruelty. Even if this guy did the "legally" wrong thing, at least he did what was morally right. It's very irritating to see people mistreat animals and then suddenly explode in anger and act as if they care so much when they're taken from them. Can't help but smile at how happy that dog looks now.
Believe it or not you can't just walk onto someones property and steal their shit on the basis of "cruelty". If your dog/cat was stolen from you wouldn't you be pretty pissed? Especially if that same person was going online and accusing you of neglect. It blows my mind that you guys are completely fine with zero evidence of neglect actually being given by the thief. Infact the picture he posted points to the fact that the dog wasn't neglected. Any dog will eat 3 cans of dog food if you put it infront of their face. [editline]12th December 2013[/editline] Are you joking? Dogs have fur coats.
wow guys its like dogs aren't living beings with emotions and needs edit: oh wait apparently there somes clusterfuck going on about this being fake
The dog looks really happy in the dog-napper's picture, and the original owners look like a bunch of ignorant twats, like really fucking stupid, sooooo I'm going with the dog-napper [editline]12th December 2013[/editline] There's an update on the original post, you can read it here: http://www.reddit.com/r/FortWorth/comments/1skcel/2000_reward_for_lost_greater_swiss_mountain_dog/
dognapper put the dog in far more immediate danger by letting it scarf down 3 bowls of food in a row + misc things that weren't edible
Yeah, I'm a bit confused here. I think both the owners and the guy who "stole" the dog are guilty in this case. The owners left it somewhat neglected outside due to being misinformed, thinking it can "easily handle the conditions", but the guy who stole the dog also shouldn't have stolen the dog. The guy who stole the dog could've just come up to the owners' doors (I'm assuming the dog was stolen when the owners were awake) and suggested that they keep it inside. But if the owners are really that much of assholes to the point where they wouldn't listen to the guy if he suggested to keep the dog inside, then they kind of deserved this.
I like how you called me a shit head when you don't realize I'm trying my best not to insult anyone on this forum
oh my god shut up you've been raging for the past couple of posts
Quote from reddit.
Heidi has been returned. u/twilightmoons did a poor job of handling the switch. He did not pick up the dog as he stated he would. The owners were there instead, they charged me and demanded my name. So much for no confrontation or questions. Oh btw,I gave them money to repair the lock and the first words out of her mouth were "give me THE fucking dog!" Way to be personally attached to your sweet puppy. I'm done here. Please take better care of Heidi going forward.
Welp.
I seriously hope that dog gets well taken care of, because dude the internet will destroy that family.
I think we can agree. Animal theft is a crime Animal cruelty is a crime
I think we can agree. Animal theft is a crime Animal cruelty is a crime
I don't see how anyone can disagree with that, those two things are literally against the law.
