"Punch a Nazi" (ft. Rucka Rucka Ali) - Social Justice: The Musical

I remember when it was "I dress, like a nazi" and it was a song about emo kids
Isnt paparazzi like, nine years old now? Kinda sad that you gotta rehash a decade old song that was already parodied in 2009
I don't SUPPORT punching nazis but... I just don't care if someone does

I don't SUPPORT punching *X group you care about* but... I just don't care if someone does

So you care about nazis?

I should also add that that's a pretty fucking big false equivalence there in addition to my dumb shitpost.

Guess I worded that poorly my mistake. I said "X group you care about" because nowadays it seems people only have empathy for people similar to them, just like a certain historical political party :^)
Frankly I'd probably buy in to the whole "fuck theres nazis everywhere lets get 'em!!!!" thing if I saw any evidence of an actual nazi party/movement happening. It feels like a cheap scapegoat and only antifa trash labelling people nazis because its convenient and then attacking them. Maybe I just don't follow the news close enough but I don't recall any Nazi rallies, lynchings, crime rings, etc. happening at fucking all in the past few years. All that happened was that one idiot got punched.
Regressive leftists use the term "nazi" too broadly
Regressive leftists are nazis.
I think thats a little contradictory i dunno
I'm probably just having a case of apophenia or something lol
I think we should hurl all liberals into a meat grinder and make them into hamburgers to sell to little kids
way ahead of you

It's not that simple. Nazis aren't just a benevolent group of people looking for voice. You forget that by the time the nazis did tangible harm was when they were the lawmakers and controlled the government. It makes sense that people don't want to wait for that to happen

Well of course they're dickheads, but I still don't see Nazism actually happening in the states past people doing edgy internet posts as has happened since the inception of consumer internet. If you have some reputable sources of violent crime that's been committed by Nazis in America that wasn't in the 70s (most recent I can find with some quick googling) that rivals the likes of antifa pointing at someone, saying they're a nazi and then physically assaulting them on numerous occasions, then yes I'll definitely agree that this is an issue that needs condemning and solving. But right now it seriously feels like an imaginary and convenient scapegoat by the far/~regressive~ left to pin blame on for any and all social issues/He Who Shall Not Be Named winning the election. I frankly consider actual physical assault to be more serious than people saying bad things, you are free to disagree and I understand why you may, but that's my stance on this issue.

What I just said is that the Nazis never committed mass violence until THEY ALREADY HAD POWER. Nazis have been threatening and calling for violence against muslims and other minorities in the modern day.

I've time travelled back to my first year of highschool
If a mockery targeted at ANTIFA hits you so close to home that you yourself feel insulted or offended you have some thinking over to do.

No actually it's saying everyone who was okay with one cunt getting punched is equivalent to antifa. You think any of those tweets he showed were from rioters? Not to mention dropping in stuff like Jontron and Shia. This video clearly isn't just about antifa.
Didn't Rucka already do a parody of Paparazzi? "Emo Like a Nazi" I think it was called.
Really? Wow, a racist, and bad scansion.
To be fair, the song isn't Ali's, it's made by Chris Ray Gun.
I liked it myself, and I think there's a bit of a difference between saying 'when you're punching otherwise peaceful people whom you deem to have unacceptable viewpoints, you're acting like a fascist', and 'THE LEFT ARE LITERALLY NAZIS'.
Song parodies aren't for everybody though, especially political ones, so I can get why some people found this cringey. I just wonder how many of those boxes just came from the fact that Tudd created the thread.

Thank you, Jesus, I couldn't believe people were getting their dander up on FACEPUNCH over a guy like Chris Ray Gun. I mean, typically Facepunch, in spite of its impatience towards certain pop-culture phenomenae, is pretty savvy towards a lot of political and social issues. With Chris being more or less in the skeptisphere alongside people like Greg, June, TJ, Logicked (and to a much lesser extent, Sargon) I was kinda stunned to see this degree of ratings backlash from a guy with sound, if antagonistic views and content.
I mean the points he makes in the video aren't wrong, labelling everyone who isn't on the "left" a nazi is just dumb

this is factually untrue
this is factually untrue
Nothing that anyone could compare to their later stuff. They didn't get to power by fighting their way there, they got their way there socially and politically
Rucka is still a thing? I remember "im a korean" and that one about haitis earthquakes used to be big on that one annoying kid in my school (you know, the one with tapout shorts and is slightly bigger)
always was fucking annoying

real classy
Rucka Rucka Ali, edgy lyrics, and a Lady Gaga cover? Well call me 2010. Good one Señor Fudders
isn't this just "nazi punks fuck off"
Dead Kennedys made good music though.
Rucka Rucka Ali....wow that brings back memories of his song about emos.

Beer hall Putsch launched the Nazis into the mainstream and allowed them to get into the social/political spotlight

I tried watching it and found it really stupid. Just from how it generalizes people and makes these broad claims. Though I do understand that it's a joke and jokes do that for comedic purposes. Still I just didn't like it.

Everything generalizes people. It's literally impossible to go about this on individual basis. If this is your reason, you must not like a ton of stuff, including statistics and surveys.
Nothing that anyone could compare to their later stuff. They didn't get to power by fighting their way there, they got their way there socially and politically
That doesn't negate it. And they did attempt (and fail) a coup, which landed Hitler in Jail and gave him time to focus on his writing
god damn it guys don't go punching people it's stupid, this is america
shoot them instead and say they were threatening you
The narrative of "the entire left wing supports the radicals who generalize us as all Nazis" lacks self awareness to a hilarious degree.

I don't think that's comparable? There's a difference between finding general similarities among the population and claiming "All of these people think this way". And I said in that very post that I understand jokes use it for comedy. I didn't claim that I dislike generalization. Just this video.
