The problem is that the zappers don't reset on death, so getting the timing you're meant to get is extremely hard.
There's also barely any room for error so you can't wait for the zappers.

Kind of related, what do you think the status of HellBenders is? Chris seems to not be able to/ want to say anything about it other than his work is done and he's been pitching it, so I'm assuming it's been picked up as a pilot and is waiting for broadcast
