Games Grumps has gotten into a very predictable pattern here recently, largely consisting of Arin getting mad, beat-boxing, dick jokes, missing something in the game, MUH PUSSEH (and other such delightful Grump memes), and occasional tangents about things, while Danny mostly smiles, nods, giggles a bit, pokes Arin around some, and occasionally breaking out into stories. Granted it still produces gold here and there, but it feels a bit exhausted. Doesn't help that Steam Train and Grump Cade aren't around anymore.
Meanwhile in Oneyland, the only thing that we can predict is that the boys are gonna be [I]silly[/I]. Chris seems to bring out the funniest in people, bringing the "Egoraptor" back out of Arin if Uncharted 4, Human Fall Flat, Doodle Doods, and Simpsons Hit & Run are anything to go by.

I can't get into GG post-JonTron. I tried, still will watch a little of an episode every once in awhile, but it's just not my thing. I can't stand Danny for some reason, and Arin depresses me now. Guess the best way to describe it is I love Egoraptor, but hate Arin.
that's why I liked the uncharted 4 playthrough so much, Arin was the same as in Jontron-era GG

Arin comes off like a weirdo that got roped into playing games with a normal person because the funny guy that used to use Arin as the normal person left and Arin alone isn't funny.
Oneyplays is where everyone is both the straight man and the silly man and it's all very natural.
I'm honestly kinda surprised where Game Grumps is at now, because it really seemed like they'd finally found their place post-Jon like a year or two ago. They recognized everyone has different strengths together, so we got a wide variation of pairs on different games. Now it just feels like Arin and Dan (arguably the weakest pair, right above anyone and Suzy) for 100% of everything while Ross just shows up for Doodle Doods.
I miss the days when you'd get Danny and Ross playing old Sierra games, since they had a really natural dynamic. Or something where Barry would come in and totally destroy everyone while being relatively quiet.
Grumps can put out some gold, but it feels like they're trying too hard these days to make a comedy show, rather than just letting the laughs come naturally. The funniest Game Grumps shit was never jokes, but honest reactions, like when they played Universal Studios and Arin just starts weeping about how throwing barrels at Jaws made him rediscover his childhood love of games.
