Wouldn't surprise me if the channel might get a temporary break soon. I honestly wouldn't mind if they pulled a Vinesauce and just uploaded streams while they rebuild their catalog. Shad was streaming PUBG last night with Chris and Zach and it was basically like a Sleepycast reunion, complete with discussions as to whether or not anyone actually literally killed themselves because Trump was elected. [editline]22nd January 2018[/editline] Obviously you don't wanna rely on that too much, or else you run into the Game Grumps/Vinesauce/SBFP problem of "we've got 50+ hours in this LP and maybe 3 of them are actually funny", but as far as temporary fixes go, it'd definitely ease the strain while DD and Julian get their games finished.

It's a shame Oney had to slay and absorb Ding Dong and Julian to maintain his youthful form and power, but the Oblivion playthrough is worth it

OneyPlays is the only channel of its style that really appeals to me. They're consistently engaging and interesting, and their mix of personalities and styles really pays off. It's a shame that Ding Dong and Julian will be taking the back seat for the time being but it still will remain one of my favorite channels for the forseeable future. I think.

I think it's because they have the self-awareness to 1) not embrace the fact that they have to run the channel like a business (since this is, for all intents and purposes, their job now) and 2) not pretend like they're actual comedians. They're a bunch of goofballs who yell about Freddy Freaker while playing video games, and they've all got the right amount of humility and situational understanding to not assume they're anything more than that. They stay humble and have fun with it. I still enjoy SBF and Game Grumps, but there's multiple series where you can tell they're playing a game they don't really enjoy just because it's a hot-ticket item that'll bring in clicks. Matt seems to be openly fighting against the Bully LP and Arin frequently checks out and ignores tutorials. Meanwhile one of the most popular LPs for Chris and the gang is fucking Wild Woody. They've outright said they're not gonna do shit like Minecraft (which would totally blow up and bring in a ton of viewers) because they don't wanna. That attitude keeps their content fresh, because it's all stuff they WANT to do, not stuff they're OBLIGATED to do.
