Does the guy running that channel straight up have a learning disability? I have never heard someone that sounds that inhuman before. The pronunciation of every single word is wrong as well as his cadence. He sounds like he learned English from a broken speak and spell

I've stopped watching. I really didn't find any of the recent videos that enjoyable. I think its a lack of chemistry.

It's a different flavor. When DD and Julian are around, it feels like there are more bits (Freddy Freaker, Kickstarter video, etc.), while Zach and Niall and Lyle are more conversational. It reminds me a lot of Sleepycast, which is never a bad thing; I'm down for some variation, you wouldn't want to risk things getting stale (especially when you watch fanmade best of compilations and realize how many of the moments involve stuff like Julian laughing or DingDong saying "he doesn't say that" or Chris doing a funny voice and saying "woah nelly"). Oney is a versatile dude and an ideal host for a LP channel with a rotating roster of guests, so I'm down with DD and Julian getting a little break to go work on their games. I wish Matt and Ryan would come back sometime soon, I hope those rumors aren't true.

They're rumors so it's kind of all over the place but I think the gist of it is Ding Dong and Julian said they didn't like the new Game Grumps game so they're fallen out with the Game Grumps bunch including Matt and Ryan, which would explain why Chris no longer records Oney Plays at the GameGrumps office. BUT in the newest SuperMega podcast they mention wanting the boys back on sometime soon, so even if the rumors are true there's no bad blood outside of the office.

I can't imagine they would have a fallout just because they don't like one thing they did. They never striked me as that petty.

i mean julian is gay, dingdong is bi/gay, so it wouldn't be surprising if they didn't like dream daddy. The game was just pandering to the sub sect of people who ship gay ships all the time and act like being gay is a personality or something. A lot of the gay community wasn't happy about it.

Still, DD and Julian don't seem like the guys to leave over something like that.

Basically people have been speculating since Matt and Ryan keep mentioning how they want to have Dingdong and Julian back on their podcast but seem to conspicuously avoid mentioning Chris (also since there hasn't been any crossovers in a longass time; they also got rid of BRATWATSON in the Pokemon Red LP). The rumor is that when DD and Julian criticized Dream Daddy a few months ago (essentially accusing it of trying to paint being gay as a fun gimmick to cash in on diversity bux), they caused a rift between the OneyPlays crew and the Grumps/Supermega/Vernon Shaw. Around New Year's, Chris was doing his passive-aggressive Twitter thing that he does and he mentioned about how he's cutting out fake people and backstabbers and how 2017 taught him who his true friends are and whatnot; so the hot spicy rumor is that Chris went above and beyond in defending DD and Julian and still kept the grudge going (even after the two of them had since made amends with Vernon and Suzy and all them). File it under the rest of the shit from r/conspiracygrumps (right next to "Arin punched Jontron's girlfriend" and "Danny and Ross are fed the fuck up and plan on leaving aaaany day now"), but it's still something I hope isn't true. I hate seeing drama in these sorts of communities, since the thing that makes channels like this shine is the genuine sense of chemistry and friendship.

Unless there's hard evidence for any of that I wouldn't go around spreading rumors.

I mean, the Tweets definitely exist. There was a tiff over Dream Daddy and Matt and Ryan haven't mentioned Chris on the podcast in a while (but often bring up Dingdong and Julian). Everything else is pure speculation, but the bits of info people are using to spin conspiracy theories are totally real. That said, I'd like to believe that it's all just a matter of the OneyPlays crew not recording in the Grumpspace anymore. Apparently the commute was annoying enough that it killed Doodle Doods, so I wouldn't be shocked if it made Supermega/GG crossovers way more difficult as well.

Yeah, stuff like the old GG rumors were dumb as fuck, but the worrying thing about the stuff with Chris cutting off people like Matt and Ryan is that while there's no specific names or hard evidence, there's actually stuff you can point at and say "yeah, you could make a connection there." The sudden cutoff of stuff like Doodle Doods, and Super Mega/Oney Plays crossovers at the almost exact same time really is pretty fucking bizarre, but, of course it could, and probably is just a coincidence.

I really doubt it's any serious issue. Though imagine causing drama over Suzy, I remember the one time she sold a bunch of jewelry to GG fans and it turned out she was flipping like, cheap as free stuff off of Etsy and sold it for proper jewelry prices.

Apparently it's also publicly known that, upon marrying Arin, she made him "give up his silly pipe-dream of being an animator" in favor of turning Grumps into a sustainable business. IIRC there was a video Arin made a while back (I think it was called "This is my Suzy" or something) where he's just talking about Suzy in what's meant to be an endearing way, and it's actually pretty cute until he gets to the part where he starts talking about how "she helped me overcome so much in my life, like my laziness and pipe dreams... I owe her SO much..." and then it starts reading like a cry for help. But again, this ain't r/conspiracygrumps, my bad for keeping the rumor mill a-turning. On a semi-related (but much more on-topic) note, I'd really like to see Ross and Arin come back to OneyPlays in some fashion. Their Grumpcade shit with Human Fall Flat is brilliant, you can really tell they've all got some history together. Jon has gotta be the dream guest though, shame he lives on the other side of the continent.
