I'm surprised at the amount of hate... its a 3 minutes video, half of which is not even gameplay. You guys are making so many assumptions based off a game that is clearly still in development. I have no idea why it is being developed on UE3 though... and I have no idea what the board effects are about. Other than that you guys are knee-jerking hard...
Is it just me, or does it feel a bit too slow? Waiting to pass full judgement until I see a bit longer gameplay tbh

So far it looks like those problems are still around, sadly.
I'm getting a 'Capcom cashing on Mega Man 2 nostalgia' vibe, here. "People want more Pro Skater so let's focus on solely the Pro Skater games for nostalgia's sake and add new gimmicks ontop without the various improvements or new features from later games." That was what HD was for, not this.
kind of funny how this looks worse than a lot of older skater games. like holy shit this looks so stiff and janky i cant believe it
The graphics look so lifeless too. Like, I'm not talking about pure graphical fidelity but I mean the colors and everything are so grey and bland Underground 2 looks much better than this
THPS HD ran on Unreal 3. And so will this. :(
To be fair, Unreal has nothing to do with the quality of the game. You could literally remake every game in this engine and with enough care they would play the same.
Make it a $15 download and you probably won't piss everybody off.
Yeah, if this game ends up being a cheaper digital title then it would be okay, but the footage so far is not footage of a full price AAA game and should not be priced as one.
There's plenty of mention of them aiming to recreate the old school feel of TH games, you can kinda see it with this vid though to be fair. Graphics maybe lacking and tricks may look snappy and not so smooth but that's how the classics were right? Maybe Skate has skewed expectations of a comfortable skate line but that's not what THPS was about. It was to get ridiculous impossible combos with snappy grinding and a mash of tricks and I can kinda see it there Stomp down looks shitty though I admit
I really don't know how to feel about this. I'm glad they're going back to the original gameplay more or less, but those clips didn't look particularly impressive and part of me wishes this poor franchise could just die already.
It looks like a mobile game honestly:/
