What's so gay about Cora? The haircut?..
The haircut and general design of her is pretty gay, yeah. I can see how the average twitterite would get up in arms over her only wanting the D. It's like Bioware thought the undercut or whatever it's called is a "normal" haircut and they just threw it in because they wanted the preppy crowd. [editline]17th March 2017[/editline]
i dont understand how her design makes her gay though so the only stupid people are the ones whining that she is. if anything her design just turns people off.
Dude like half of the internet got all pissy about her design when she was first revealed, her haircut and looks totally have connotations in modern culture and Bioware saying that, nah, she's totally straight is actually a surprise because of it.
i had no idea gay people had specific appearances. tell me more about what a gay person looks like. [editline]17th March 2017[/editline] people got pissy because she looks like fucking Robert Z'dar. not because she, in your view, "looks gay"

I mean it's kind of obvious that the undercut has implications in modern culture, as much as you want to believe it doesn't.
no. you said she looks gay so im taking it up with you. im not going to start hounding some clueless aspies on twitter because that'll lead nowhere.
Idk why they don't just make every romance-capable character capable of being romanced by the player character no matter what gender they are. Maybe I just wanna have a fucking harem, don't judge me.
no. you said she looks gay so im taking it up with you. im not going to start hounding some clueless aspies on twitter because that'll lead nowhere.
that hair cut is typically worn by butch women, it's a common thing, it's almost a stereotype if not an actual stereotype at this point. is it worn by non lesbians? Yes, but it's seen that way due to cultural factors
no. you said she looks gay so im taking it up with you. im not going to start hounding some clueless aspies on twitter because that'll lead nowhere.
The undercut is popular among lesbians or at the very least women who don't conform to traditional views/roles on gender, it's well on it's way to becoming as stereotypically gay as the lisp. I have absolutely zero evidence of this, of course, I'm going entirely on popular perceptions of the undercut and how it's used in society, which I'm reasonably sure everyone else who is going, "golly gee, Cora is straight!?" are doing the exact same thing.

General design, well, she has a nice ass, that's about it idk. And in the face department she suffers from being a woman in a Bioware game, that's par for the course. I really have no idea here. I mean, her hair isn't blue and she's not even fat as far as twittards and tumblrettes are concerned. And it seems to me to be kind of... strange at this point. The kind of crowd whining on twitter typically stand against stereotypes and the like because, well, dehumanizing, which they're not wrong about. But then it just so happens that there's a character with an apparently stereotypical trait (not even trait, a haircut) and it turns out they don't conform to said stereotype - and they're angry.
I know a lot of lesbians and to tell you the truth I've not seen any of them with hair like that. I've seen that hairstyle before and always viewed it as a tomboy style. When I first saw Cora I thought she was straight and would've been a less annoying version of pooboo.

ive seen plenty women with that hairstyle and while i cant judge their sexuality outright, im pretty sure not all, nor the majority of them, are gay. id also like to point out that this is a game set in a far future so i am very sure society has changed their perceptions on "gay hairstyles"

why did they bother getting a model to be the face at all if they're just going to not use it and make it ugly what's wrong with attractive people, and IRL most people i know are attractive like wat i mean facial animations are one thing, bioware's always been bad at facial animations [t]http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lv5aabZKin1qdn2zy.jpg[/t] but no way are their modelers so bad that they can't replicate an attractive face like jayde rossi's, morrigan in DAI is perfectly fine
The Witcher 3 took 3.5 years and 31 million dollars to make.
As hilarious as it is that 40 million dollars bought them animations like Addison, The Incredible Speaking Potato, I feel like people fundamentally misunderstand how TW3's development is different from western games. I'll preface this by saying I think that The Witcher 3 is a phenomenal game, with incredible stories and animations across the board. But, programmers, artists, pretty much everyone involved in the process, are paid WAY less in Poland than in America. It's something like, less than half. Plus, they worked their employees to death, the turnover rate there was insane. Check their Glassdoor page. On top of the fact that developing the engine for TW3 was a crazy tax writeoff for them (like, 100%). The circumstances behind TW3 and ME:A are totally different. I just don't think you could see something like TW3 come out of a western studio that doesn't have Rockstar-tiers of money. [editline]17th March 2017[/editline]
Go talk to a human? Be confronted by a hybrid human-potato.
It's frustrating, too, because there are several cutscenes in this game where the humans look fine. There's a flashback [sp]where you see through Alec Ryder's eyes, and the woman he's talking to looks REALLY good.[/sp] But then you have characters like Addison, or cutscenes like "my Dad is dead :buckteeth:"

So, inch-thick layer of jank aside, how's the game itself actually looking? From the trailers, the gameplay seemed relatively solid.
So, inch-thick layer of jank aside, how's the game itself actually looking? From the trailers, the gameplay seemed relatively solid.
If you can get past the large amount of crashes, memory leaks, and bugs, it does seem like it would be good.
So, inch-thick layer of jank aside, how's the game itself actually looking? From the trailers, the gameplay seemed relatively solid.
Really good. Multiplayer has a LOT of technical issues (memory leaks with certain kits, clipping errors, crashes), but the singleplayer was incredible for me. My trial time FLEW by. There are a handful of distractingly bad NPC faces, but the majority of them are fine. Not good, but fine. Conversations feel a lot more dynamic, and interesting without a "Good / Bad" option. There's one character who I would ask a question, and it'd open up 2 or 3 more sub-questions to ask. Idk, I'm loving it. The game is really good.
I knew Bioware was back to being absolute shit after Dragon Age 2 and the massive downturn in qualith that has followed up after DA1. At least DA1 was pretty solid other than being imo mediocre though, everything after just looks terrible.
Break out the foil friends. :tinfoil: 19:50 is the time code you'll want. A French streamer was fiddling with his character when the game glitched out. [t]http://i.imgur.com/bryRHOX.jpg[/t] Some are suggesting that the models was messed with intentionally to make them appear more ugly than the people they're based off of in real life.
if i wanted to look at regular ugly people id go outside when i pay money to engage in a bit of escapist fantasy i want to see beautiful people doing impossible things

It's at least 3-4 times less. $31 million in Poland would be like $80-$100 million in the west. People always forget to multiply that figure few times.

Yeah that stuff kinda happens when you deliberately fuck with the golden mean

Honestly, the default Alec Ryder looks like the main character, while the Ryder twins look like they should be the background characters.
Honestly, the default Alec Ryder looks like the main character, while the Ryder twins look like they should be the background characters.
I think that was intended. To contrast the experienced protagonist you played as in the original trilogy while you're playing a fresh out of training one.
I agree
