looks like Watchmen, in the best way possible.
I really really really hope that the Wayne tower is the only building that falls over in this movie
That scene was during Man Of Steel.
Bruce was there when the fight went down and when they fucked up a bunch of skyscrapers, one was Metropolis' Wayne Tower.
Was that Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne?

Which makes me wonder if [sp]Metropolis is still a city considering it was flattened in Man of Steel[/sp]

[sp]Yes. It's been mostly rebuilt and now includes a giant statue of Superman.[/sp]

I think thats a flashback from the first movie when hes fighting commander strong guy.
so i didnt notice but at 2:40 Batman just snaps the guys neck
fuck yeah
also reminds me of that scene with Rorschach in Watchmen
Is Lex played by that actor from The Social Network?

uhhhhh
why is Batman killing anyone a "fuck yeah" thing? or are those guys not killable or something? I'm confused. Batman straight up killing a dude is a bit of an assassination of character imo.
I like that Supes doesn't look too dark and moody.
Also I didn't really get why they fight against each other which is good considering how modern trailers give away way too much.
I am a little worried that there is an overload of everything though

That's not fuck yeah-ish.

But I'm pretty sure it's cut that way so we discuss -> hype

now I want a flashpoint movie where he plays thomas wayne batman
also, what the hell is wonder woman fighting?
Do we actually see the Wayne Tower in Man of Steel, or is it just something that happened "off Screen"
Can't seem to find anything on google.

from what i gathered from this trailer:
supes and zod destroy Metropolis' Wayne Tower during their fight, Bruce runs straight into it to save people but loads of people die anyway, so Bruce hates Superman, he thinks he's bad for the world. Lex Luthor plays on this and gets Bats and Supes to fight, probably supplying Bats with Kryptonite. (It appears that Alfred thinks that Supes is good and tries to get Bruce to rethink his position). So Bruce comes out of retirement as Batman (probably retired because Joker killed Robin) and fights Supes, they probably realise half way through the fight that Lex is the real bad guy, team up and take him down, forming the bedrock of the Justice League.
Probably anyway. From the trailers released.
I get the feeling this might suffer from the same problem Spider-man 3 did; trying too put too much in. We've got the Batman and Superman conflict, that needs to be properly built up. Wonder Woman needs a proper introduction, as does Lex Luthor.
As well, something seems off about the coloring in this. But hey, after the desaturated junk that was MoS, I'll welcome this.

I hope Lex isn't just the only bad guy, that would be too boring. Is there any way to have Brainiac in it?
There was a Satellite in MoS which had the Dark Knight trilogy Wayne Ent. logo, but that is all I can find.
Is it just me or they up the colour in this one?

I have to be honest, as much as I was ready to be disappointed by the first trailer this actually had the opposite effect. It feels like they actually know what they are doing this time. I'm cautious but there are things in the trailer that I want to talk about:
[sp]First thing first, the events of the first movie actually carry over. The huge destruction made people afraid of Superman.
Batman was actually in the middle of it, witnessing the carnage first hand. So his motivation to stop Superman has more behind it than just a safety measure.
Superman actually seems to help a lot more.
Batman seems to be through a lot. Robin was probably killed by Joker so his mood isn't going to be the best.
The designs in action are nothing short of amazing.
Lastly, Lex could work as villain but he seems to be a very different version than I'm used to.[/sp]

well, entirely personal point of view but Batman not killing anyone always seemed to me like a barrier in a lot of senses, making it a lie anyway, so i'd prefer him coming with that more honestly and killing if needed. He killed a lot of guys in the games/comic where they dont even say a word about it, making it very convenient. He even killed Harvey in the Dark Knight, so i dont see it as much as a conflict as, i dare to say, a person who knows more about Batman than i do would see it.
That batman power armour reminds me of the recent Dark Knight Returns animated movie. I dig it.

Actually the entire plot reminds me of some parts of the sequel thing to Dark Knight Returns wich i forgot the name of.
Also those scenes with "steampunk" Batman and "Superman" soldiers (they have his symbol on their sleeves) look like they are taking place in a post-apocalyptic world. Can't it be some kind of vision?

I liked the TDKR storyline a bit more to be honest, it had more of a payoff in the end despite it's heavy handed politics.
Considering how well did Avengers 2 did despite doing that, and how well JLU did it even more, I don't see it being TOO awful if they're smart about it
To be fair, most of the people in Avengers 2 are just reprising their roles from previous movies. BvS is introducing 3 major iconic super heroes at once (2 of them being on the big screen for the first time ever).
Looks good though. Hopefully the fighting in this is better than in MoS. They were too shaky and long imo
This movie should be at least near 3 hours long, I don't want to suffer from Avengersitis where it's underdeveloped and stuffed under 2 hours running time.
Lex Luthor has too much hair
I still don't like the Eisenberg casting for Lex, it just comes off as silly compared to the rest of the movie. where everyone looks serious all the time in some way, and here comes Lex with his luscious locks.
heh, "dozens killed"
being a bit conservative with that headline I think
Does no one remember Gene Hackman as lex?
He's not keeping that hair. Something will cause him to go bald
Lex Luthor has too much hair
Reckon Lex will fuck around too much with kryptonite, radiation will cause him to lose his hair either during the film/towards the end, or at the very end, towards the sequel hook.
