Frankly - at least he is supporting the artists and it was a consensual agreement among them. Wu Tang knew the terms and agreed to them.

What a fucking bitch move for them to pull, selling an album to a single private party. The best part is that members of the Wu-Tang Clan like Ghostface ended up talking mad shit about Shkreli after the fact, and even RZA who I think is the one that brokered the deal was talking about how he doesn't really approve of Shkreli's behavior but.. Hey, at least I'm making a million dollars right? Serious sellout shit for a bunch of old school hip hop artists.
My very favorite thing is watching someone throw literally every community under the bus for the sake of staying on top of their high horse
My very favorite thing is watching someone throw literally every community under the bus for the sake of staying on top of their high horse
What are you referring to with this post?
Holy fuck, he wasn't even talking to you. Nobody cares about you not liking Shkreli, we get it. You've been awkwardly rambling about how neutral you are toward him for the past 2 days, get on with it.
It's HumanAbyss, always trying to inject himself into an argument.
It's the same premise regardless If you really dislike me dude, ignore me, stop trying to tell me when I can and can't comment just because you get annoyed reading what I say. So stop fucking reading it.
Dude the only reason it seems like people dislike you is because you come into threads, give flaccid half-arguments that really arent relevant to the topic at hand, and then try and refute EVERY SINGLE THING you disagree with, even when the conversation doesn't concern you. Take a breather, leave the thread for a bit, do some critical thinking and if you decide you want to have an actual proper discussion then come back. But this is getting really fucking dumb and reading half of the shit in this thread is like literally watching the video in the OP. idk how some of you guys can live with like a total lack of self-awareness, it blows my mind
The world would be a much better place with people like Martin Shkreli.
He's not a bad person, just a calculated businessman. If you were in his position and needed to maximise profits for your investors you'd do the same. It's cold pragmatism. He's investing into research in order to keep control of future developments of the drug. He's not being a saint and heartlessly investing in it, he's ensuring he maintains the power he currently has over this market. I don't think he's some kind of evil maniac -- I totally understand why he's doing it -- but he's no saint either. I do appreciate him sticking to his principles and being open to discussion to others who oppose him, plus he's funny as fuck. Edit: Didn't realise how late I was to the conversation. Oh well.

I often laugh at the very lack of self awareness other people display, so apparently, we're all capable of that.
He's got a point, you have to admit, you've been acting way more erratically as of late.
this isn't really the place I would discuss my own personal life falling apart, to be honest.
The world would be a much better place with people like Martin Shkreli.
You mean narcissistic sociopaths who price gouge life saving medications? We have plenty of those though, Shkreli isn't anything special or new.

He's not funding the R&D out of the kindness of his heart either; he's doing it to ensure he still has control if and when a new alternative springs up in the future. It's important to understand there's a reason for him doing everything. He's not good nor bad, just pragmatic and incredibly smart.

He knows how to make things sound sweeter than they really are, it's what businessmen do. I'm sure there's a ton of fine print in Shkreli's Daraprim plan too, you can see a good example of this with his album release deal he had, he didn't release all of the tracks and he purposefully interfered with the audio on the ones he did.
