haha in all honesty though my first reaction would have been to run and find a shovel or a bat and I would have beat the snot out of that deer. My dad did that same thing to a pitbull that ran towards us in our yard when we were playing football. He fucked up that dogs day for real.
If it was my dog I would have tried to intervene myself even with no weapon. I love my dog :3

That doesn't affect me at all. The deer died as soon as it got hit, it didn't suffer from multiple broken bones and bruises for defending its child.

I'm pretty sure even WITH it's instinct to protect its young, it'd be scared of a human. That, and I don't see deer being able to kick very high, unless it turned its back on me. Either way, it wouldn't harm a human guy that much, seeing as we could move out the way and, if need be, hit it back which would scare it. You don't need a baseball bat to win over the fight, just spook it. A towel would make it think you're huge or something.

If it was another dog (pitbull for example) who was attacking my dog, then I'd have to use force, because a PITBULL is dangerous. A doe isn't that dangerous to humans. The dog probably suffered a few broken bones, if that at all. Most likely just bruising.

Oh, and to back this up about the doe being scared, at the end, it could have easily chased the cat and most likely killed it (because it's a small frail cat) but it stopped when the woman clapped her hands and shouted.
All it takes to spook it is to run up to it screaming and waving your arms. It'd stop attacking the dog and run back to its child, or just run and leave the child. They aren't fucking killing machines. It's a doe. They get piss-scared easily.
