Didn't Nintendo recently ramp up production of Amiibo and also make those significantly less expensive cards that serve the same purpose or something like that? I haven't really been following since I don't have any Nintendo consoles.
Also from what I understand a new physical copy of Twilight Princess HD comes with the wolf Link Amiibo so it's more of a reward for buying that game if anything.
They have made amiibo cards but only for Animal Crossing at the moment.
After seeing Wolf Link and all the environment intractability, I'm getting a lot of Phantom Pain vibes.
Maybe its a sequel to the Orignal Legend of Zelda. Hyrule definitely was in ruins then
between this, the koroks, and the rusted master sword; I'm almost 100% positive this is the Adult link/Windwaker timeline.
Oh thing for sure, it ain't after Wind Waker since the sword got stuck on someone's forehead, at the bottom of the sea.

yeah someone who is very much alive and well in this game; and besides, what other timelines had an "ancient sea"?
Legend of Zelda meets Joe Hisaishi meets Hayao Miyazaki?
I can dig it. I can DEFINITELY dig it.
Because it's just a little bonus feature for people who like to collect Amiibo?
It's not like it's mandatory, or important.
Maybe it's unimportant for you, but if I'd be getting the game I'd like to have that not sitting behind a ridiculous paywall. It is already in the game. What if I want to have that but don't see a point in buying plastic figures that I'll never look at again?

Not sure what point you were trying to make there.

"Here is a completely different and unrelated game who does that one mechanic completely different but it shares the fact that it is fire, therefor its related"
Is what i think but more like "farcry did fire bettur"

It's the pony tail that does it for me

it's a good handle ;~) ;~) ;~) ;~)

when they showed that you could use the sheikah stone to mark enemies i immediately thought of the phantom pain. it's weird to see a zelda game take in all these modern influences after being kinda stubbornly stuck in its ways for years now. i'm not complaining though, this blows skyward sword out of the fucking water
So this game is being released for both Wii U and the Nintendo NX, i seriously wonder how the NX version will look like.
Also this game is in development for 5 and a half years already and Aonuma said that this is the most complete Zelda game yet, Miamoto stated a while ago that this Zelda is the Zelda that he dreamed off ever since he started getting into the game industry.

This was the original in-game screenshot that they published 2 years ago, would this be the NX version?
The Wii U is somewhat stronger than the PS3 in graphics, it should be able to deal with that pretty easily.

I doubt the Wii U will be able to handle stuff in that picture, maybe the NX.

Fire Rod is back.

If it doesn't go to the spot, it is at 12 min 55 seconds.

If this can run on the PS3, the contents of that picture can run on the Wii U

When you look at it, it's just lots of unshadowed grass and some simple terrain geometry.
There's nothing magical about it, the Wii U can deal with that.

But Zelda isn't about a flower petal floating through the air.
It has more stuff going on so we won't be getting what that picture has, in fact we already saw that it doesn't through the hours of gameplay they showed off.
If EA did the exact same thing people wouldn't be saying this
Nintendo being a saint in everything on the internet isn't exactly new.

an exclusive pet wolf companion system is just "a little bonus feature". I'll say it again, why do people accept this from nintendo. What makes plastic bullshit locking away features make people think its "a little bonus" compared to on-disk DLC in other games.

Cause it's not necessary to enjoy the game? It's not like they're keeping you from playing a whole new dungeon or they're locking the Master Sword behind a specific amiibo; it's something that's just an extra thing you can choose to have if you want to check it out for yourself or you need the help.
It's not like people don't want amiibos and they're being robbed of their hard earned cash to get a complete experience; the amiibos themselves are practically collectibles with added functionality. People love Nintendo merch and this just sweetens the deal. Nintendo is planning to have more cards with amiibo functionality anyway which is a much cheaper alternative and doesn't restrict you to buying games in order to obtain them.

You could say the same thing about the Tingle Tuner in Wind Waker, you needed a whole damn GBA and a special cable to use it. But it never really made any difference.
That's something really dumb to get hung up on.
It's a non-canon add on that is just there for you to mes around with. No big deal.
