There were some members of the Afghan military with them too I think. Either way, I think everything the military does is awesome. I'm way too much of a patriot for Canada and I have spent a lot of time looking at the the Canadian Forces web-page. Small military, but powerful. Plus we are now getting new helicopters to replace our Sea-Kings, and brand-new F35 Lightning II jets to replace our terrible CF-188 that were old when we got them. Now if only we could get some decent submarines...

The machine gunner's primary objective is not to kill but to supress, That's why generally they are given Drum/Box Magazines. Unlike video games different guns have different reasons, Not all are meant for straight 500m kills.

Are you as knowledgeable in guns as in say, RC helicopters? I bet you wouldn't know the names of 2 different models, or even care.
The only ways you would know that it's not a MINIMI or an M249 is if you know what the name of the MG is by heart, know that Canada doesn't employ use of the MINIMI or M249, or can tell by the very blurred structural differences of the gun.
