not if the barrel is rifled.
4:42, holy shit. Such little kick, that was amazing to watch.
can someone smart with guns explain to me how he can safely fire against steel plates at 10ft without worrying about ricochett?
Ive only fired guns from a longer distance, generally always at cheap paper/wood+dirt backdrop.
they actually outlawed it because it made the gun into an sbr because it was under 16 inches
That's really silly, and it's really silly that it would fall under the designation of a firearm when the projectile in question (a soda can) isn't going anywhere near the speeds of a bullet. Is there a better definition for "a projectile" in American gun law, or is it actually that vague?

I think it's because he's firing soft-lead buckshot which wouldn't have the risk of ricochets like harder brass/steel cased ammo (like 9mm, like 223/5.56).

the lead is soft and deforms on impact. throw a pillow against a wall and then try the same thing with a piece of wood. assuming the wood doesn't go through the wall it'll bounce off while the pillow just hits and falls straight down. the bullets do the same thing. ricochets only really happen at an angle.

I thought we stopped using lead bullets (for most shots) though

nope. some states don't let you use lead for duck hunting, but other than that lead is the predominant bullet material.

Most bullets are lead in a copper jacket.
It looks like something out of Battlefield 2142 :v:
What if, the reason many sci-fi/space guns look ridiculous, is because they're trying to circumvent future-ATF?
