That's not the karma I was expecting. I was expecting a cop on his lunch break to be watching the whole thing
Didn't really stick the landing dude. Try again.
of course the youtube comments are with the driver

tbh they were both kinda dickheads about it but the driver was worse. I mean I can understand the frustration of people on bikes riding down the middle of the road at a slow speed and not moving over to allow you to pass but thats no reason to attempt a hit and run.

I'm not entirely sure that the byciclist was a dickhead at all. I think what he said and did was pretty acceptable to be honest.

He got his plates and a video, he didn't need to follow and provoke him. Also cyclists taking up the road is a dick move. Driver was a cunt too though.
Needs the "to be continued" edit, landing was a spot on. Also, not a real karma, justice was self inflicted by fat leg.
In the UK law though the cyclist was in the right. You have to give at least a car's width of space to cyclists when overtaking, and there are no rules saying where cyclists must be in a lane.
Do you guys not have to wear a helmet?! Its like, law here in Straya.

the cyclist was being a massive tool and deliberately antagonising the driver. "give me more space" um dude he cant, maybe move over you stupid cunt?

If there's not enough space to overtake safely, don't overtake, don't expect people to get out of your way.

Cycles of any kind are valid road vehicles here. Just because they naturally go slower and take up less space is no reason to think you have some kind of priority over them.
I can cycle in the middle of the road as much as I want, if a driver decides to be a bellend and antagonises me, they are in the wrong. Sure. Me taking up the middle of the road is a dick move, but it doesn't justify passing a cycle too closely or being an aggressive shit about it.
Just hang back behind the bike until there is enough space to pass safely. It's not hard, I have to deal with it every other day coming home from work. It barely adds any time to a trip.
You are legally allowed to ride center of the road if it is within reason.
The biggest example actually noted by the highway code is on narrow roads. It is up to the cyclist's discretion however if they wish to allow cars to pass, otherwise cars must wait for an opportunity to pass. This would be suitable on stuff like streets with cramped cars (seriously how is a car going to overtake a cyclist with parked cars on either side of the road? Not happening.) or country roads. Typically you wouldn't take center lane (or it's not recommended) but you are actually allowed to do it no matter where you are.
I personally only take center lane when I am going somewhere else like a street or something, otherwise I tend to stick a meter to two meters away from the curb and parked cars. It's a dangerous life as a cyclist. Worst part is other cyclists being wankers and getting me in trouble with drivers because I follow the rules and the others don't, so I get the shit stick.
Plus really as a driver what are you losing? It takes zero effort on a your part to decelerate/accelerate whereas a cyclist also has to constantly put the energy in to move and stopping ruins the momentum, I've had to stop because of drivers speeding past and nearly knocking me off. I will get hit fatally one day.
The only reason I can think is because they're used to driving around at 30-40mph around towns and cities but when they go 10-15mph they get angsty. It's like coming off the motorway onto a normal road, it bothers them, but it's too much sometimes.
I've had people flip me off just for being on the road and not doing anything wrong. I don't understand some peoples pure hatred
He also mentioned the door zone, which is a pretty big deal on a small road like that
If he's close to a car door and someone isn't paying attention he's gonna get hurt so he's got to protect himself and at least be clear of the parked cars a bit
