I'm trying to say that the guys in the car were probably assholes and had it coming, but throwing the rock was going overboard also. Everyone is just blaming the old guy, but the people in the car probably were being fuckwads also.

Driving your car overspeed in a residential or commercial area, being loud as fuck, provides a disruption to the area and a danger to pedestrians/residents. He said "quit racing", which implies that they were doing just that. And you can tell in the video the car is loud as fuck. If you want your fancy expensive toys, you need to play with them in a reasonable way. If they're being disruptive or endangering others, then they're in the wrong.
But the guy throwing the rock was also in the wrong for doing that. The car guys had it coming though.
