Yea, I've heard shit like that come from people who weren't necessarily misogynist or racist. It's called being a dick. This seems more misogynistic in context of other misogynistic things he might have said, but isn't actually an argument on its own.

I'm not defending that bit. I'm being critical of thisispain's use of evidence for his argument. I'm generally in agreement with him about TAA, but I don't think using bad evidence generally advances your ideas that well.
When a person critiques only a small part of what someone says, you can be fairly certain that they agree for the most part. My disagreement is relatively small but I just wanted to see what he had to say about it.

"being a dick" quickly transforms into sexism when your personal attacks are founded solely on the basis that someone is of a different gender and you use their gender as an insult against them.

Uhm, I don't think TheAmazingAtheist is being misogynistic because he told somebody some horrible things (yeah he's an asshole) about raping. To do so would be to imply that the issue was that she was a woman. Men can get raped too, you know.
