I like how someone rated an 8 minute video dumb, 4 minutes after it was posted
lol we don't have to watch videos like this to know what they are about
lol we don't have to watch videos like this to know what they are about
or they watched 3 minutes of video and got sick of it
How can someone construe "Super HOT. Super HOT. Super HOT" and the guy at the ending as pretentious, when it's obviously tongue in cheek and cheesy?
Jesus christ the youtube comments, the guys even trying to defend himself when someone calls him out for claiming its bad due to not having HD textures and ambient occlusion. I wish I could report this video for something but I just cant find the 'stupid' option on youtube
super NOT
super NOT
*does a wicked kickflip into a pool of babes*
You suck doing your job.
I've been watching this for 4 fucking minutes waiting for him to get to his point instead of complaining about how bad the animations and graphics are for a fucking show of concept [editline]20th September 2013[/editline] wow okay his one point is that the bullets travel too slow even when moving, which I agree with. Why is he so pissed about it?
Gotta love the rabid fanboys of the channel that will go to every length to defend this shit review.
I'm half tempted to parody this review, but I'm not sure I want to rewatch and transcribe the thing. I barely made it through the first attempt. Did get a chuckle when he called it pretentious though.
Gotta love the rabid fanboys of the channel that will go to every length to defend this shit review.
i didnt know a channel with only ~1000 subbers could get this vehement.
you can call something pretentious but unless you qualify what you mean, "its pretentious" doesnt actually communicate anything as a phrase
OP plays Call of Duty. I played Superhot, it had a nice feel to it but the last level was the only one I couldn't get my head around.
Super hot is not a game in it's current form. It is a consept that the dev team want to make into a game. Texture? really? Do you think an engineer looks at his prototype and says "Hmm, maby i should but a layer of black on this unfinished invention" the video maker seems to whine for just the sake of it. Grow up
Watching that video was like watching someone rant on for 20 minutes over a 30 second cartoon skit or something. Unnecessarily disparaging and pointlessly critical and rude of what is obviously a conceptual test. Ridiculous.
This guy is just Super DUMB Super DUMB Super DUMB
Wow, it's like the reviewer thought, "Hey, here's a new free concept game that everyone likes. Now let me find it's nitpicky flaws so I can shit all over it in a video.". But yeah, don't play it. It'll just be a waste of your hard earned $0.00.
There are few videos made by stupid assholes on youtube that have made me wanted to punch someone more :v: For a game review (an unfinished one, no less) he spends at least half the review talking about how ugly it is? Who cares, it had a neat gameplay idea and it was fun. Remember that? Fun? I guess fun is too pretentious these days though
This is painful, Why would you review not an alpha not a beta but a fucking techdemo? really? come on now this is just infantile and unprofessional.
"Don't play a techdemo because it's ugly."
OP plays Call of Duty.
Okay so can we stop saying this stupid shit when people don't like games we like
A week + a month since 7dfps ended really gives them no excuse to have any bugs.
You have absolutely no understanding of the development timeline if you believe this. Every game is released with bugs, and the ones that are fixed are in a/b classification as game breaking or essential problems. On average, triple A games are released with over 1,000 class C bugs. When a team of 300 people with a dedicated QA department can't fix every one of the numerous bugs, a small team in a month is lucky to get all the class a bugs. This whole video is absurd. AAA games spend anywhere from three weeks to three months prototyping due to the size of the team. These prototypes are testing bare bones mechanics in a barely blocked out environment with no focus on art, as artists are either working on assets for later or busy with concept drafts.
Also, it doesn't do a very good job of proving the concept, if you actually paid attention to the video.
Yeah, no. It does exactly what a proof of concept should. The core mechanic, tone, and experience are conveyed perfectly. This sort of video is why anyone with experience hates talking to the majority of the community.

this video is pretty cringeworthy
"Hi I'm Pawnstick I have no idea how game development nor journalism is supposed to work but I'm going to judge others on it" Seriously, shut the fuck up, you don't know what the fuck you're saying and yet you're telling others they don't know what they're saying. So please, just stop talking or admit that you're wrong, and it's also ridiculously obvious that you're the creator of this video or else you wouldn't have posted it here, a forum that would gladly suck dick (including me) to get the full version of this game. Also, it's a fucking demonstration. It's not even in Alpha, it's in Pre-Alpha which means nothing is anywhere near finished, so criticizing it while it's in Pre-Alpha is a fucking joke and should never be taken seriously. It's people like you that are the reason why people don't take Game Journalism seriously, cause it's literally biased opinion after biased opinion, which I would be fine with if they actually admitted it's their biased opinion, but they don't, so I don't give a shit.
This guys right the jokes on them, pusblishing a game on Steam that will without a doubt be successful, yep sucks to be those guys so pretentious of them to have an original idea [editline]20th September 2013[/editline] Every time he said how pretentious the developers were I couldn't stop thinking about how pretentious he was acting during the whole video, like he's personally offended by this game, or one of the devleopers fucked his sister.

Well I went and did and I must admit I enjoyed it. The face at the end was a little awkward tho, I hope they'll use somebody else / a render in the final version of the game.
He's just going against popular opinion to get views, nothing to see here [editline]20th September 2013[/editline] the title being 'don't play' is pretty obnoxious too
and pretentious such irony
If you are going to claim it is not your video, you probably should not have claimed responsibility for other videos from the same channel. http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1282503!
