You seem to like the episodes that had comedic elements in them. What about the more serious, kinda creepy ones, like[sp]The Host, Our Town, or post-Duchovny episode Badlaa[/sp] [editline]30th September 2015[/editline] Heck, I like nearly all the Monster-of-the-week episodes. Yes, it did get worse near the end, but there are some good ones. [editline]30th September 2015[/editline] I don't like the ones where [sp]the baddie gets away, like the episode where a fly thing runs a telemarketing company and the surgeon who stays immortal by making other surgeons kill their patients.[/sp]
Those were just the ones off the top of my head. [sp]Home is my absolute favorite episode. I wouldn't call that one comedic, considering two people are bludgeoned to death by neanderthal incest heathens. That surgeon episode is kinda gross & gorey. I didn't like it too much though, considering the ending. I do like the call centre one, though.[/sp]
I suddenly remembered to post a brief explanation of every x-files episode ever. [editline]30th September 2015[/editline] Is it bad that I can tell which episodes most of these pics were taken?
Is it bad that I can tell which episodes most of these pics were taken?
every xfiles fan should recognize "goddamn it..." aka the best episode (bad blood)
oh wow this is good and all but it made me realize and think a lot about the decay of the universe gillian used to be like my dream woman
every xfiles fan should recognize "goddamn it..." aka the best episode (bad blood)
what are you talking about? Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose was the best
how the hell does scully stay skeptical after, like, episode one? that'd be enough for me to not think mulder is a loon for anything he suggests
the best episode is obviously first person shooter
its like "mulder no it couldn't possibly be a psychic killer, even though we've already dealt with that on more than a few occasions."
oh wow this is good and all but it made me realize and think a lot about the decay of the universe gillian used to be like my dream woman
She looked really good in Hannibal but here she looks way older, I think it might be fake tan.
how the hell does scully stay skeptical after, like, episode one? that'd be enough for me to not think mulder is a loon for anything he suggests
You would think after excavating a flying saucer that seeded the genetic code for humanity and our culture would be enough to throw any skepticism out the window.
You would think after excavating a flying saucer that seeded the genetic code for humanity and our culture would be enough to throw any skepticism out the window.
Even if you knew aliens existed, I bet you'd still think [sp] a goddamn trash monster (Arcadia, season 6 ) would be fucking ridiculous.[/sp]
To be fair scully wasn't always a skeptic. When it came to episodes dealing with some aspect of Christian mythology the roles were immediately reversed 90% of the time with Mulder being the skeptic
I guess it is a valid argument. Throughout the X-Files, there has been a consistent impression of both Moulder and Skully forgetting everything that happened beforehand, while in actuality you would think that both of them would be getting progressively more and more cautious and less skeptical. The refrigerator is suddenly a miniature black hole? Sure, whatever. Every single layer of human society is manipulated by disguised lizard humanoids? No problem. A civilization on mars has been detected and confirmed? That's fine I have not watched the entire X-files. But in many episodes this has definitely been the case. I think that the show should finalize with Moulder, Skully, and Skinner suddenly realizing that they were actually disguised extraterrestrial grays the entire time, solving one gargantuan over arching mystery which progressively leads to themselves, while being under some form of amnesia that they utilized from the very beginning. And their entire actual plan was to study themselves as humans.
You would think after excavating a flying saucer that seeded the genetic code for humanity and our culture would be enough to throw any skepticism out the window.
More like you'd think she'd stop being a skeptic after the first x-files movie after being abducted for the second time
Come to think of it, the alienization finale would explain their behavior as well, they would realize that the entire time their mental configurations were self correcting, therefore explaining the dynamic between the characters.

I dont know why but on the trailer it say January 2016 but on imdb the 1st episode start the October 6th 2015 next week , weird... , I hope for the next week !
That's one thing I could never stand about this show. Scully will never believe Mulder even after all the things she's seen. I'd think Mulder would've just given up by S3. Also Mulder is ALWAYS right.

Also Mulder is ALWAYS right.
Ahem, [sp]Beyond the Sea (S1E13), Død Kalm(S2E19)(Mulder thought it was a time warp initially),Quagmire(S3E22)(Mulder thought it was a sea monster, but was disappointed when it was an alligator)[/sp]
how the hell does scully stay skeptical after, like, episode one? that'd be enough for me to not think mulder is a loon for anything he suggests
Yeah, [sp]that made Scully's sudden turn around/role reversal (in season 7 or something?) even more jarring.[/sp]
The reason why they have that issue is because at the start of the show, it wasn't going to have a story or mytharc. However; Jillian Anderson got pregnant during production of a season and they had to write her out. This is what created the mytharc; and she was fully involved in it. Most X-Files fans agree that Monster of the Week episodes happen outside or before the Mytharc.
Damn, the Skin Man is looking great for 63!
Skinner didn't seem to age as much as Scully/Mulder.
Skinner didn't seem to age as much as Scully/Mulder.
William B. Davis did age though.

An episode where they stopped an alien bounty hunter just finished? The next episode could consist of them hunting a reported supernatural monster and then gradually figuring out that it was all just one cleverly induced mass hysteria. Maybe a mixture of realistic explanations and simultaneously the complete defiance of realistic explanations would have made the show even cooler.
I just think that Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space was a pretty amusing episode.
That's one of my favorite episodes. Aliens abducting aliens abducting humans [editline]30th September 2015[/editline] Also the vampires episode guest starring Luke Wilson

Or to have a completely unsolved case lead to something completely different that does get solved. Or to have a seemingly solved case suddenly open up more questions than answers. although the last two have been used reasonably frequently I think.
