Let's just compare an Xbox engine from a couple of years ago with a PC engine which was just released. I wonder which is better?

Looks pretty neat. I wanna know how they got the models from Halo 3.
Halo 3 had amazing lighting effects but was very jaggy running at sub-hd resolution natively. I don't see much of an improvement here.
The texture looks like crap, that's why it doesn't look that good. Lighting is good though.

That is because it has a 512x whatever resolution. That is the main reason why the console games all has to have a shader that removes the visibility of such a low res textures when all the pc gamers got the highest resolution textures so there is no need for such a shader. For the earlier page. I was the one comparing shaders on the model to what halo REACH got. To not be unfair or anything. While in op I am comparing the ported over halo 3 model in cryengine 3s not final version that uses dx9 to a new console game with dx... 11? Anyway here is the screenshot of the models shaders that I compared to in the OP, a much larger model in halo reach with even more low resolution textures removing shaders. Because a halo porter told me that halo reach got even [B]Lower[/B] resolution textures than halo 3. Maybe the Pictures in the OP would be better if they weren't raped by a shit amount of Glow, seriously i can barely make out "the difference", to me it looks lower res if anything because of the Glow rape.
