But didn't the Avengers pick up right after the first Captain America's ending?
No. [editline]3rd February 2014[/editline] The end of CA:First Avenger, Thor, Iron Man 2, and The Incredible Hulk take place over the course of a week, Avengers is one year later.
Captain America was good, but I thought Thor was pretty damn dull.
they were both average movies that made lots of mistakes and could've been way better. the difference is that the entirety of thor is "meh", while with CA, the second half is where it falls off
Most likely like Phase 1, everyone else's movies were happening at the same time.
what phase one happened at the same time and was capped off by the avengers film, we're into phase two now. every marvel film after avengers happens at basically the same time, after the avengers

Like, Iron Man 2, Thor 2, and Cap 2 are happening at the same sort of time. How else do you explain CAPTAIN AMERICA not helping to rescue [sp]the fucking PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES[/sp]
I hope there's at least a cameo from another Avenger like there was in Thor 2
I'm the only one that thinks that this Captain America is weak as shit? He's always getting his ass kicked even in the trailers...
I'm the only one that thinks that this Captain America is weak as shit? He's always getting his ass kicked even in the trailers...
I keep thinking "Man, Thor could end this in 5 minutes" hence why Captain is kind of my least favourite Avenger. Doesn't mean I dont like him though, he is a nice addition but as you said he seems really weak constantly getting his ass kicked. Even in The Avengers he was really useless. I think he represents Spirit and Moral instead of raw Power like Hulk, Thor or Iron Man.
Say what you want, Thor and Captain America were amazing movies.
Thor 2 and Captain American were pretty fun movies. Thor 2 was especially the most over the top and fun movie I have seen in a while, it never took itself too seriously which is what I think of when I think comic books. Thor 1 was fucking terrible though, I can't believe how much they fucked that one up.

He suited the WW2 era due to the nature of the weapons and the fact it was a very human conflict. Obviously he was bought forwards for Avengers but perosnally i'd rather of seen cap punch some more Nazi's in the face. [sp]Steve's reluctance to use a gun in the modern era just doesn't make sense, enemies have to be made dumb and not use ranged weaponry on him, which is why i think Bucky cap would be better now, though that would be far more darker and understandably not where they want to take CA [/sp]

Thor bits on earth were amusing in my opinion, a bit boring in the end but still cool. Agent Coulson was also nice. Why is everybody hating on the first Thor, like theres lots of action at the beginning then lots of betrayal and then in the end theres lots of action again. Whats not to like?

you guys are exaggerating, thor 1 wasn't that bad
Yeah, I mean I can totally see why people dislike the movie but calling it a bad movie is really uncalled for. I liked all the characters in the movie(except for Darcy maybe) and everything worked out really well in the end.
you guys are exaggerating, thor 1 wasn't that bad
Thor 1 wasn't bad, but I didn't really feel a connection to the "human world", which is what you should feel when watching a movie about super heroes. Then again, I judged it on how much I could see of Kat Denning's titties. Disappointed by that factor.
