His fanbase is really weird though, like they're oddly defensive of him, it's super strange but I guess if DarkSydePhil who is similarly shitty has actual fans then anybody can have fans. The truth is that trashtalking and popoffs like that are actually rather unusual. Top players, particularly the Japanese ones will literally say nothing and do nothing other than nod at the beginning and end of the match, if Daigo were to do like a fist pump, that would be disrespectful of him. The crazier shit like fistfights usually happen at local tournaments with more randoms (or whenever Noel Brown is present), not at EVO.
