As well as revealing the first gameplay, this video also confirms that, after long consideration and knowing through dialogue with our backers that they value quality and polish above all, we’ve made the difficult decision to lock the release of Yooka-Laylee to Q1 2017.
Holy shit that looked amazing, can't wait to see more at E3.
that nuts & bolts burn at the end. god damn
I really, really hope this does well.
Twilight release for Wii U... As happy as I will be to have it on my platform of choice I doubt this port will do well for them financially.
Cheeky as fuck.
If the soundtrack is anything as good as that trailer song, its going to be bloody incredible.
fucking 10/10
Rewatching just to catch the little details makes it so much better, like how Laylee's towel is bigger than Yooka's at the end.
What the fuck is that dialogue sfx in the end of the trailer?
What the fuck is that dialogue sfx in the end of the trailer?
That's how it was in Banjo Kazooie, they probably want to keep it that way.
What the fuck is that dialogue sfx in the end of the trailer?
I love it
If this was exclusive to a console, I would probably buy that console *cough*Microsoft*cough* luckily it is not and thank goodness for that.
Even the dialogue is Banjo-Kazooie. Looks like a worthy successor.
What the fuck is that dialogue sfx in the end of the trailer?
Are you complaining that it's in an old style, or do you just not understand what they're referencing?
Man, this puts other kickstarter games to shame, a proper follow up to a long missed series that actually looks like a modern, more developed successor?
PC release? Damn, I was expecting console only. Nice.
PC release? Damn, I was expecting console only. Nice.
You didnt know? They've said PC since the kickstarter. Its gr8
With Yooka-Laylee coming out next year, it reminded me that A Hat In Time was being made a while back. Whatever happened to that?
Man, this puts other kickstarter games to shame, a proper follow up to a long missed series that actually looks like a modern, more developed successor?
It'll sell well to fans, but I'm not sure about folks who either stopped caring for games like Banjo Kazooie, or folks that never heard of Banjo Kazooie before.
With Yooka-Laylee coming out next year, it reminded me that A Hat In Time was being made a while back. Whatever happened to that?
It's also getting better and better from each videos and screenshots I've been seeing around the creator's Twitter. But it will take a while since they are not as big of a team as Yooka-Laylee's.
With Yooka-Laylee coming out next year, it reminded me that A Hat In Time was being made a while back. Whatever happened to that?
Delayed indefinitely is my guess, but I didn't check.
I haven't even played the Banjoo Kazooie series (I've never had a Nintendo 64 sadly) but I really appreciate how good this looks so far. All the characters in this series look so endearing, I love the snake.
But it will take a while since they are not as big of a team as Yooka-Laylee's.
No offense to A Hat in Time's dev team, but I think Yooka-Laylee's quicker development can be better attributed to Playtonic's combined industry experience than employee count.
No offense to A Hat in Time's dev team, but I think Yooka-Laylee's quicker development can be better attributed to Playtonic's combined industry experience than employee count.
Isn't A Hat in Time basically dead?
After the Might No. 9 trailer fiasco, I can't help but feel a bit of relief after seeing this trailer. I mean we don't know what the published product will look like sure but literally anything would look better in comparison.
Isn't A Hat in Time basically dead?
Their website seems to indicate is in the later stages of beta so that would be a odd time to abandon it. I think development is just slow really.
Wasn't A Hat In Time supposed to come out two years ago?
Wasn't A Hat In Time supposed to come out two years ago?
I'm pretty sure that an official release date for the final game was never announced, however, there is an alpha and beta build and the final release date is to be determined according to their website. Also game is still clearly in development if you follow the creators twitter. edit: The games twitter account edit + edit: Tag and bag me. Either this game will not release Q1 2017 or it will be very bad. From what i have seen so far, they have a long way to go.
You didnt know? They've said PC since the kickstarter. Its gr8
I haven't really followed the development, only re-discovered it just now. Looks fantastic, and PC was a nice surprise.
